Root [Verizon] So...how's about a ROM sticky?

Android forums has always been my go-to site for all things awesome in the world of Google. The people here are great, friendly, knowledgeable, and have always tried to help their fellow phandroids. It's with this in mind that I have a request: how's about we have a sticky with all the diff available ROMs? Many of the forums around here do, if not most. And it seems lately that there are just so many diff sites out there and everything is all spread out.

If not a sticky then perhaps a new ROM thread so that all questions and discussions can be held in one central location? It's how we had things with the OG Droid, and that was just awesome, especially as there was just so much development going on.

I'm sure there's a guide out there that's gonna bring this to the breakroom, right?

That's what I was thinking when I read the title of this thread, but I would like to know what to do in order to be able to post ROM's within the rooted forum. Not all together, but individually, so that those of us who are really partial to AF can come here to check up on ROM updates and discuss. It's very tough to catch up on a popular ROM on other forums. BUT...does one require permission frorm the ROM dev to list his/her ROM here?

No, you can start a thread about whatever ROM you like here. Just don't post direct links to the ROM downloads. Put links in to the XDA/Rootzwiki threads that the developer started.

Yeah, like that. lol

That's exactly what I'm getting at. I love AF, but it seems so difficult to get ROM-specific help. And God forbid you try to get any at XDA. You have to jump through hoops to get permission to post in developer forums, and when you have finally gotten the right amount of posts, they delete them on you because their opinion is that your comments in the general discussion thread is too general. Or something.

I'm just really ticked that I can't get the help I need. Back in the day, the OG Droid forum was rocking with new ROMs just about every day, and each ROM had their own thread where you could discuss and get help. Now, this place is just kinda all over with no clear direction. But mostly I'm just frustrated that I'm not allowed to ask for help when my phone is in dire need of it and has been. You know what it's like when a guy who sells phones, and is known for being a phone guru has a phone that he can't fix? Doesn't go over well. Thank goodness I'm still a good salesman. lol
