OTA 2.1 Has started..

ESE81!!! Yea baby!!! :D :D :D

I've predicted all along that the "official" 2.1 release was going to be much more specific to the DROID than these current (half-baked) 2.1 ROMs.

I noticed that they mention pinch to zoom in most apps you would require it in EXCEPT the browser. Did ESE53 or 35 whatever allow you to pinch to zoom in the browser. I am not so stuck on that, but I noticed the lack of it being mentioned in the list.

the milestone 2.1 OTA was rooted the first day

looking forward to the sweet ROM's to come...

Doesn't really matter if it's rooted or not. You can use RSD Lite to flash back to the ESE53 2.1 SBF file then flash a rooted update.zip of this. Once someone gets a copy of this update they can add root into it manually on a PC then flash it. And no you won't need to be rooted to do all of this.

i just got the update.... for Skype. ugh, seriously...i got so excited, then sooo let down.

I had to laugh because I could just picture it.

That would happen to me. I would watch the phone updating and start posting/preparing to upload to Trident's server while doing my little update dance and then see...

...Google Maps or something, promptly cancel the post and go grab a pint of cookie dough ice cream to console myself.

So how will this affect those who are running a custom ROM? Should we get back to stock to receive this update? What steps need to be taken for us to get this update properly?
