Call me crazy guys, but what does the Droid being out of stock have to do with the Incredible being released? We know the droid isn't going to be replaced by the Inc and the "out of stock" is probably just a result of us approaching the BOGO deadline.

The Droid isn't going anywhere as VZ is going to need an android phone with a keyboard.

Isn't the Devour a android w/ a keyboard?

Wouldn't the both the Droid and Eris are going away, if not, I doubt they would have been on the bogo list.

Nice... The HTC ozone was out of stock for a day then it disappeared from the site. Maybe when the droid disappears, they'll put in the incredible

The devour was brought out as a cheaper version of the droid, not to replace it.

on another note, I had an online chat with a CSR and her responses to my inquiries were canned as well.

when i pushed for information and mentioned other networks carry phones more to my liking she promptly ended the chat. hehehe we must be getting to them. it's a pity they're more in the dark than we are.

True, but motorola doesnt decide to keep selling if verizon no longer carries it. But i'm just looking at it from an extreme angle. Of course verizon won't take it off. Its a cash cow right now

I just read this post from the Verizon forums where a tech apparently sees the Incredible in the system... "Hes a tech, he doesnt work in the store front like a salesman does - his only job is to test devices and then train the sales staff when its time to release. If you dont believe be call #611 and ask about the Htc incredible. They wont know anything about it, but when they start to search HTC I - It will auto complete - meaning its now in their system and is only a matter of time."

Nothing yet. Inventory status still says 0, no training listed, and no launch packages found.

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but taking the phone out of stock doesn't jibe with the fact that the 199.00 ad for the Droid is still all over the place.

Went to VW, Oakland CA. It appears the Droid is still in stock.
Flaring Afro has a good question: Will the Incredible have gyro for landscape mode? Hard to imagine it won't, since the Droid does this (checked it out in-store).
