Buyers Remorse

Well I have had this thing for a couple months now. All though over all I do like the phone I have to admit, i have buyer

You are 110% correct. Consider for a minute those of us who have gone on the path from the Eris (wife's) to Incredible (mine) to Incredible 2 (Wife's) to Incredible 4G (mine), everything was proceeding smoothly with definite speed and feature enhancements until the 4G. Luckily I still have my OG Inc around to compare it with, because the only real improvement I see with this phone is the camera and possibly the GPS connecting a little quicker. The cons we've gone over ad nauseum: (deep sleep issue, WiFi not automatically connecting, push emails getting delayed until phone is woken up, inferior external speaker, etc) Those are all significant issues, that more or less could be addressed, but since the bootloader got re-locked we are all just sitting around with our stock phones, limited data and our thumbs you-know-where, wondering "Is that all there is?" (if you sing it while you're wondering, it's more effective)

Oh, I was going to mention that and forgot. There doesn't seem to be any dev support for this phone either. So correct, any of these issues that could be fixed via a ROM seem to be non existent. Yep... I let myself get screwed by Verizon once again allowing myself to get caught-up in the hype of a fancy shiny new phone. My Bad... and I will live with it, but when this 2 year contract is up, I will have learned my lesson and never get into another one. Anyway... Forgot to add my shiny new phone now has the creak case syndrom that many other have been experiencing...I'm done ranting now:(

I doubt there will be much of any dev support... This phone is not going to be as popular as the Inc2. And since the Inc2s hit, that made the Inc2 even more popular with devs. I think I will be skipping this Incredible, as I don't think it's "incredible" at all.. should be called the HTC Dissapointment 4G, because thats all I've seen from it's buyers.

Thankfully I still have my unlimited data and may be purchasing a used Rezound for $200, or maybe I'll leave HTC completely, they have been slacking compared to Motorola and Samsung.

that sucks - again the verizon phone reps know less than we do. the corp discount was noted in threads here about the share everything plans.

Ya... I guess I just didn't happen to see those thread and the nice phone reps didn't provide me that little bit of info... Guess I should have resorted to reviewing the book they sent me after the fact with what the changes were... Again it was my bad for thinking I was understanding what I was being told... Sooo many lessons learned on this whole experience. Sad thing is I can never go back...:(
