Root I erased the image from my MOBILE file....

I believe the guides and how tos suggest for you to make a FULL BACKUP of everything in that mobile partition, so in case you totally fudge it up, you can just erase everything, and replace it with the backed up files.

sooooo lets hope you followed directions :D

in case you didnt follow the simplest directions, your next step would be for someone ELSE to send you their backed up MOBILE partition.

I have a recovery file from when i first downloaded CWM. I don't know particularly know what this will recover, as I don't think I backed up the recovery.img file in the MOBILE-->IMAGE file when initially installing CWM. So, since the simplest instructions were most likely not followed, I'm going to assume I need to be sent a backup.

basically, never, ever ever put anything inside the mobile drive unless its a recovery image, and even then you HAVE to back up the old one and replace ONLY that one file. never ever just go randomly deleting things or unzipping things to this area of the phone.

When you say, this, and if I can get a backed up file of the MOBILE partition for my Triumph, do I need to replace the whole MOBILE partition or just the recovery area? I understand once the MOBILE partition is backed up on my phone to never ever ever put anything other than recovery--ever again. :)

Thanks for a thorough explanation as to what's happening--or what my phone is thinking. Makes more sense now rather than not understanding what's going on.

partway thru the production they changed the triumph and the older software might not be compatible with the newer phone. as other users in this thread suggested.

youll have to find out exactly what model of triumph you have so someone with a similar one can get you a backup of the MOBILE drive. once thats backed up, you can start over.

I have the newer version, apparently. There are only SIX Barcodes.

2.already done and covered
3. you phone already off ******** 4. do it anyways to see what happens
5.if something shows up then good tell me what if says if stays black oh well
6. **(*=do what guide saids)7.**********8.you do have a folder name IMAGE right ????? 9. did you happen to back up your old recovery ???10. place the 'recovery' file i posted the link for or unzip the file from the guide
11.(make sure to do 11 and 12) 12********* 13. make sure to press all the correct button

hopefully after this The phone will boot into CWM. The latest version 5.0.2.6 will have blue lettering.

if you are able to get to CWM let me know if not then will work from there

Thank you for the steps. I will attempt to get CWM back on once I can get a backed up newer version for the triumph.

I forgot my USB cable today. Hopefully you can drag and drop someone elses info there. Maybe the recovery file itself would be enough?

Follow the clockwork mod install instructions and drag it over. Rename it to recovery and see if you can access CWM.

Recovery file itself wasn't enough. Tried just now :(

I have the newer Triumph. Mind sending me yours when you can?

Thanks so very much for the help.

yes, you will need to wipe everything in the mobile drive and replace it with someone elses mobile drive backup. not JUST the recovery file.

there are a few files in there that make the phone work, the recovery is just one of them.

....Any chance that you would be willing, or possibly know someone that may be willing to send me a backup of theirs?

SHHHWEEET! Will let know later if this works. My phone/USB is being a bit tricky on when it decideds it wants to go into Downloader mode and since I can't see the screen and all... It's kind of a waiting game.

Now it won't load MOBILE at all. it would off and on, and each time (twice) i tried copying the image file over to the MOBILE file, it would eject itself from USB. Now it won't come on at all, like download mode isn't coming up anymore.

that guide is if you formated your whole partition meaning the hidden fiels got erase too you only erase the files that were visible..... ok so you were able to copy the recovery file right ??? did you try the guide that you posted ???

you shouldave waited for more instruction well here is the files follow the instructions step by step

http://www.noxtek.com/android/triumph/good_triumph_mobile_image.zip

Download and unzip the above file somewhere on your PC, you'll wind up with an 'image' folder. Boot your Triumph in download mode (vol-down + power) and then plug it into your PC. When the 'mobile' drive pops up on your computer, open it and delete the 'image' folder from it. Now copy the 'image' folder from the unzipped file above back to the 'mobile' drive. Once it's done you can unplug your Triumph, pull the battery, put the battery back in and then power it up! (wait a while since it might boot but not show anything on the screen so give it some time)

You should have your boot splash back, the big green battery (charging animation) should show up on the screen if you plug the phone in to charge while it's turned off, and the white USB polling text should show up on the screen if you power it on in download mode(if there is no boot logo or txt when in download mode but everything works fine then this is also normal)

just to make sure once you successfully copy all the files it should look exactly like this

MOBILE X: /image/"all the files include on the zip"
(make sure it looks exactly like this )
when you go to my computer phone should display as MOBILE drive and be shown as MOBILE X: inside this drive there should be a folder named 'image' make sure there is a folder named "image' inside the MOBILE drive should look like this
MOBILE X: /image/"all the files from the zip'
(X=what ever letter your computer shows the drive as most likely F: or w.e you might have make sure there in the folder named 'image' inside MOBILE and inside 'image' folder all the files from the zip are inside test and let me know

Thank you all for your help. I ended up sending the phone into Motorola. They say it's still under warranty but I'm almost positive when they look at it further, they will have to charge me to fix it. It ended up not going back into download mode at all. My computer stopped registering the MOBILE portion when the phone was plugged into it by USB.

:\ I will never. ever. do that. again. ;) Lesson learned
