Which kernel is the best for you and why. This is definetely not for bashing other devs' great work. It's just a little chat about your favorite kernel since they are all different. Any kernel for the evo v or evo 3d can be posted. As long as they work with this phone.

Well it's just that some devs don't like their work compared to others. They all worked hard and though some don't even care about what someone says about their work flame wars start off.

I've been using Mobs Power Kernel and MAC kernel.
Mobs comes with both Harmonia and Mobster ROMs.
It is very smooth and fast, but can not be OCed. It only includes 6 Governors and 3 schedulers.
MAC kernel can be OCed and has a bunch of Governors and schedulers.

Currently I'm on Harmonia 3.16 and am getting great battery life, and everything is good.

I also use jmz's kernel. The battery life is great, although I can't really compare it to other kernels because I haven't done extensive testing.

The only one that I really have had some time with is Anthrax so I guess that I will be a bit biased by saying Anthrax is the my favorite kernel. I tried flashing the Mobster kernel, but could never get it to work. I am very interested in trying that one out as well. Since I use Midnight ROM as my daily I pretty much have to use Anthrax with it which I don't mind btw. Anthrax seems pretty solid and stable even when its oc'd.

That's the one that most people use but there are actually a few different kernels available for our phone from Chad so you might wish to look around and do some research to see what fits you the best. That one is sort of a generic in that it works for both CDMA and GSM versions of the Evo as well as the Sensation.
