Root [One Click][Updated]LG Spectrum All in One Pkg for Root, CWM Touch Recovery, and Unroot

For those having trouble with AIO I resolved my problems by: debug mode on, settings/connectivity/usb internet via ethernet default mode and uncheck always ask, finally, settings/security disable screen unlock pattern/pin, etc. by selecting the first option, slide up to unlock.

The issues revolve around the shear bulk of the blobs directory, Windows has problems as well as android in the time it takes to walk through. Basically, if you don't go there with a file manager and you don't port your backups to the PC then you should be happy with reduced backup storage and super fast backups. People have lost the .nomedia file which will cause the phone to appear to hang anytime it scans the SD Card Media (reboots, remounts, whatever).

PG, you should update the cwm image again. The 6.0.1.0 version changes the backup method to incremental and the actual files are deduped which is very nice but it does have some side effects like 32,000+ files in the blobs directory (the actual backed up files), giving those who copy the backups to their PC problems. CWM made version 6.0.1.1 which gives the user a choice of the full backup in one directory (tar method) or the new incremental method. The choice is offered in CWR under advanced, it saves a file .backupmethod so the choice is sticky. If a user likes the incremental method a file .nomedia is needed to keep the phone from appearing to hang when it scans the SD card media (reboots, remounts, etc.).

that would explain why the last 2 or 3 updates to Rom Manager have added the .nomedia file to the root of my sd card.

wondering is this the latest 6.0.1.1 version?? im stuck in bootloop cause i softbricked my device after changing the dpi, stupid ass noob mistake... i got like 20 android devices, and this is the first dpi change ever, and i softbricked it..

every time i try to run a backup, it takes FOREVER!!!!! i sat here for 30 min, and it was backing up, but HELLA SLOW! the first time i tryed it failed...

it was taking too long so i interupted it...

slow

I went thru all the steps to put the rom on my Lg Lucid but after I reboot all I get is a black screen, the lg logo appears once and that's it. When I press the volume up and down keys the buttons light up at the bottom. :smokingsomb:

Why are you trying to put Spectrum software on your Lucid? Roms/Recoveries are not compatible across phones. Hell, did you even check to see if the boot partition/recovery partition are on the same numbers for the Lucid? If not, you probably just seriously messed up your phone.

CWM is not backing up system and data. Any fix for this?

....fixed issue by setting backup to tar.

NO!

Do not use this with ICS! Never.

I cannot stress this enough: Any attempt to install CWM on the ICS OTA will *BRICK YOUR DEVICE*!!!

DO NOT USE IT.

(was too much?)

Neph and D2A are working on a unlock for the OTA ICS right now. They will have it by the end of the weekend no doubt, and from there we can start thinking about CWM. Until then...just don't. Please...

Root for the OTA ICS can be found here:

No, you don't want to add CWM just yet anyhow. It will brick the device, the debs are working on a fix for the locked boot loader. Death is writing the script now, it should be ready for use in a few days. Check the main Page though. I posted a thread with a link to at least get you rooted.

This is an All-in-One package to Root and install CWM Recovery or to UnRoot and install the stock recovery. I have spent many hours trying to modify this to be as easy as possible for all to accomplish their goals whether by modding or returning to stock. I had initially built this for the LG Revolution, and have ported it over to work with the LG Spectrum.
This link is Dead !!! Is there any other way to get this download?

The link has been down for months. This is also very outdated. Please see this post for the current version, or download it from RomManager (yes, we're official now)

And just to be safe, this does not work on ICS. That is here -
