Ah, I think we have heard from Kcoan and NKT on the subject and I dont think they had any positive word that Incredible's had been sighted in stores for testing.

And what exactly is supposed to happen tomorrow? Is it a rumored Verizon announcement? I suppose its feasible since Sprint made a quasi-big announcement today on that "no worries contract."
 
A lot of he said, she said right now. Calling HTC or Verizon reps probably won't yield squat. We're simply stuck wait for the announcement. We have a good idea on quite a bit of info assumed to be true. Tick, tock.....tick...........tock.... :(

All the "I called a CSR.." stuff reminds me of, "So, two guys walk into a bar..." :p
 
I think that since the 2.1 upgrade for the Droid is finally rolling out, I'm going to go ahead and get a Droid this weekend. That gives me a 30-day window to get familiar with the Android OS. If the Incredible or Nexus one is released in that time period, I'll do a direct exchange. If neither are announced, I think I'll just stick with the Droid.

Despite the sheer awesomeness of the newer handsets that are releasing on other carriers (The Galaxy S, the EVO, the HTC Desire, the HD2, etc.), the Droid is still an awesome phone in comparison to my aging LG Dare. Even though it has served me very well over the last 2 years.....my NE2 was up for renewal a couple of months ago. its time to upgrade.

Maybe I should get the Devour first....have 30-days with it, then go for the Droid if the Incredible or Nexus One still hasn't been announced/released.

Any thoughts?

I don't think we are any closer to a release this week then we were last week. I think we're still a ways off...like first week of May. I was bored and re-read a huge chunk of forum...Besides a few isolated reports. This phone is no where near Verizon yet. I am starting to believe that the good people at Verizon aren't lying -- just nothing has been released to them yet!

I'm with ya on this one. My wife thinks I'm a huge nerd for always looking at this forum....sad thing is that she is right. Please verizon, release this phone to save my marriage!

Yep. she even bashed me on Facebook about me wanting this phone! She's to the point where she doesn't even want me to mention it at home -- either on the phone with friends or on Facebook!

i got home from dinner with my girlfriend and got on to check for any news. i was not on for more than 5 mins when she started b****** at me and said i love this phone more than her. i replied, well least the phone doesnt bitch at me:D
