Recommendations for ICS/JB custom ROM

Hi, being still with the DlevROM 2.3.1, which is 2.3.4 based, I already have for a while been checking for a custom ICS based ROM, but I had the impression that none of the ROMS was really ready yet. Now I notice a sudden explosion in ROM versions, and I am a bit lost in selecting one. Therefor my question what you guys are using.

When I check out versions listed:
Samsung Galaxy S II Android
Then, based upon the number of replies (whatever this means), the Resurrection Remix JB v3.06 and ParanoidAndroid (ICS) seem at the top. Does anyone have any comments on these ROMS, + and -?

Looking forward to replies.

I'll be putting together a post about this Rom I've been using for the last 3 weeks.. It's called Simplistic Rom on XDA.... I can genuinely champion this Rom having tried virtually every other ROM going.... It is simply stunning

I would recommend using Apex with the Galaxy s3 theme... But please refer to my post I shall be making before the weekend...

I posted this video on you tube but this was before it got upgraded.. It's very amateur but it might show you something you could be interested in

Adding on to this it has everything that JKAY settings give you... It's also based on Lpx which is very stable and has great battery if used with Siyah and ex tweaks

Hopefully my post will be useful to you....the only thing that comes close is Sales Neat Rom.... But I'll stick my neck on the line and say.... There isn't a Rom even close to this at the moment...

Thanks buddy !!! Great information, and I look forward to reading your post. I did notice the simplistic ROM, but the name is not really an eye catcher, so I didn't even look at it.

Interesting that you mention the Siyah kernel for battery life. For the Resurrection ROM there is a notice to select the CM10 kernel instead of the Siyah when battery life is important.

Two points which are essential for me are call recording (I use the Total Recall S2) and the GPS localization speed. Are they covered in this ROM?

Would I have to take any special points into account for the upgrade 2.3.4 to 4.1, and then I am more in particular thinking about all my apps.
An advantage of the DlevROM was that Titanium Backup was included, and as such you could make your backup, flash the ROM and immediately restore apps and data.

Hi Calvo, have been looking for the post which you were planning regarding the Simplistic Rom. Is this still in the make?

Hey mate...believe it or not I've only just got my phone back after 3 weeks completely bricking it by making an amateur mistake flashing mods after a couple of beers ha ha

I'm just catching up on the ROMs at the moment just downloaded Alliance ROM but I'm still reading up on things...I havent even rooted again yet. I'm trying to choose between Neat Lpx ..alliance or back to simplistic...I will post my choice and thoughts as soon as I'm sorted mate
