Hi there,

I'm from Australia and I'm interested in taking the Android plunge, perhaps with a Samsung Galaxy.

I've previously used the Symbian platform, so I'm nervous about making the jump to a newcomer like Android, but I have a feeling that, especially with the backing of Google's name, Android is going to be pretty big even outside the US where Symbian dominates.

Worried about reports of battery life, etc, and problems accessing paid apps from Optus/Virgin in Australia. But am pretty confident I'll get one anyway.

Leap into it!

After a Symbian E61 my HTC Magic is like a breath of fresh air (as they say).. don't know the Samsung but it probably has a better camera than the Magic, which is pretty poor at long distance focus, though that might well be finger trouble.

Whether or not you make the leap with Galaxy you should definitely make the leap to Android.... you won't regret it!
