Root [ROM] Harmonia 2.03 28Sept12 (Virgin)

I'm also getting weird notification message about code, error with dialer but didn't notice issue with brightness

Edit.. yep get fc when trying to adjust brightness

Just reestablishing this for my own good, I know its not recommended that you need to do a full/clean wipe, but that's what I'm used to doing before I flash new roms, so can someone else verify for me that they have done a complete wipe and all is well, please?

I wipe cache, dalvik, system and data every time I flash and restore.

I can also confirm the force close when trying to enter into ##DIAG# mode and I can also confirm that there is no screen shot capability with volume buttons

Edit: also force close, when trying to adjust brightness.

I'm using Aeneas now with some of my own changes, but I haven't been having all the problems mentioned.

Volume and Brightness sliders work fine in Settings.

##DIAG# works fine.

Maybe some of you should try fix permissions in CWM.

Can you be more specific?

Nope went and did fix permissions. The issues with volume, brightness and ##DIAG# are still there.

Brightness is able to be changed via other methods (ie, widgets or other apps) and volume is active through the rocker, but it seems to be issues just within settings

I fixed permissions also, ktb83. Way in advance of Harmonia.

That's what I did.

Finished review.

1:05 - Made a Nandroid backup. It is interesting to note that while Titanium Backup saw and backed up my apps and data to my ExSD, CWM cannot see that it is there.
1:10 - Tried installing after wiping cache and dalvik, but forgot to format /system and /data, so I got stuck at the Harmonia boot screen. Whoops!
1:15 - Formatted /system and /data, fresh-installed Harmonia 2.1 again, this time it all went smoothly and booted up just fine.
1:20 - Wifi connected and turned green just fine, was able to add my Google account without a hitch. Opened the play store, the only gapp that requests an update is Wallet (which I would recommend removing, since it's pretty much bloat).
1:25 - I have the same weird status notifications as ktb83 and Argoz: When plugged in for Charge, it says "One more failed security code and all the data....", and when plugged in for Mass Storage, it says "This operation can only be performed in the USA". However, neither Charge nor Mass Storage are inhibited in any way that I can tell.
1:30 - I attempted to dial ##DIAG# on the default dialer, and the dialer force closes. I can, however, dial Voicemail and other people just fine.
1:35 - Unable to adjust brightness via System Settings, it just force closes.
1:40 Dialing Voicemail and other people works fine. I can also adjust brightness just fine via the Power Control widget and Tesla LED. Which I'm fine with since I use the Power Control widget to adjust brightness anyways.
1:45 - All of the above was experienced both on Harmonia stock with the addition of Titanium Backup and screenshot. Nothing else was added. I am about to mass restore my apps and data for them via Titanium Backup, and will test each of them including the build.prop (I only ever add in one tweak to it) and give feedback on the results, both pre-reboot and post-reboot.

Uninstalls/Freezes made

Frozen:
Google Search.
Market Feedback Agent.
Market Updater.
Preferred Activity Setter.
Sprint Android Requirements.
TTS Service - don't use it. Ever.
Voice dialer - same reason.

NOTE: I do freeze these every time I do a factory reset. Have never noticed any issues as a result of freezing them.

Uninstalled:
Stock browser, repaced with Dolphin Mini.
Calculator, replaced with Calculations Pro.
Google Play Music - I have WinAmp and don't need to stream anything via the Play Store.
Music Player - Same reason as Google Play Music.
Live Wallpapers Picker.
Swype.
VM ROMs.
Wallet. Don't use it. Ever.

Build.prop Tweak:
Didn't have to, vm.heapsize was already set to 64M as opposed to 32M when I checked. For those who do not know what this tweak is, here's the short version: It makes your games run much more smoothly.

Other changes made:
Ran and used Smart Install on BusyBox Pro. Just to be on the safe side.
Installed and ran Ministro II.
Used ROM ToolBox to install the Roboto font (I couldn't tell if that was leftover from me, or if that was part of Harmonia).
CPU Tuner works fine.
DroidWall works correctly.
Reinstalled Maps. I actually use it :P

Pre-reboot results:
Nothing wrong to report after installing all of my apps and getting them set up.

Post-reboot results:
Minus the aforementioned bugs, Harmonia works just fine.

Bugs found:
Force close - Cannot adjust volume levels in system settings
Force close - Cannot adjust brightness levels in system settings, but can via Tesla LED or Power Control widget.
Force close - Cannot dial ##DIAG#, but can dial ##DATA#.

Misc. Notes:
The icons look great, and overall Harmonia is a god-send. Wifi and SuperSU (and SuperSU Pro) work correctly without a single hitch. Also, what exactly does de-branding entail/mean?

Now that I actually looked into the system/app folder, you are correct there is a quick memo there, along with a quite decent amount of other system apps that failed to install, and it also will not allow me to manually install them, seems they are completely not there whatsoever

Have you tried a reboot? Boot into CWM, clear cache and dalvik cache. Maybe you just need to try reinstalling.

QuickMemo_GB.apk is installed with Harmonia as a system app. It should work.

It works on Aeneas. You remember how to use it, right? Hold down both volume keys.

Confirmed, QuickMemo is there. I also couldn't get it to install - not that I'd want it to, but I tried.

Actually... I just compared the md5 of the QuickMemo_GB.apk from Aeneas to the one in Harmonia and they don't match. They are different sizes.

That is the problem.

Harmonia QuickMemo_GB.apk (852.1 KB) = 4c8dae99811ad3fd51125055ede27bae

Aeneas QuickMemo_GB.apk (897.3 KB) = 9086869810bca53ae72419edee3c1bd4
