Root [Theme] KY Jelly(Bean) v1.0

I'm completely new to this, if I get my phone rooted, what other things to I need to get before I can download Jellybean theme?

1- root the phone
2- install CWM
3- MAKE A BACKUP
4- flash #2 rom
5- flash this kick a$$ theme
6- enjoy!!

I still don't know what flashing is.
Every time i try and google it, i get distracted by all the 8008ie5, my right arm gets sore, and I take a nap.

Choose a ROM. Cant flash themes onto a stock ROM.

#2 is the most popular. Flash the ROM. Flash the theme. Thats it.

which version, 2.4 or 2.5

and how do i flash it? i do the same thing with cwm, like install it onto my computer then click run.bat?

Whichever version you want. One is beta one is official. Obviously the official one would be the likely choice unless you just want a beta version.

Install instructions are generally within the OP of each ROM, Kernel and theme thread.

Download. Put on SD. Boot into CWM. Flash. Reboot.

^you said one is a beta version and one is the official one but you didn't specify which :P

step number one quoted from shinysides beginners guide to flashing a custom rom:
1) Once downloaded, its recommended to download it from your computer and place it on your phone, put it on the root of your internal or external sd cards. Root meaning not in a folder.

How do I get it from my phone onto my internal hard drive?

2.5 being the latter would be the official. Versions typically move up and not down ;)

Plug your phone into your computer and paste the file to your SD.

Edit. Beta versions have been taken down, so both are official.

problem now, i watched the youtube vid for the rom #2 and it says im required to have sw version zvd and my phone only says zvb

:(

Ok doesnt seem like this has anything to do with root, you do it straight from the Lg Website if Im not mistaken. However, do I need to remove my root and THEN reroot it? Or can I download the new driver and my phone will stay rooted as normal?

No its not done from the website. Just follow the instructions. No you dont remove root. You will have to re root once your done, your upgrading so your putting your phone back to stock. It will obviously erase everything on the phone so save whatever is needed.

and how do i save everything?

-starting to feel like an idiot for asking all these questions :/-

Sd card. PC. Another phone.

Only thing you are saving is pictures and stuff. Apps are backed up in titanium back up.

Everyone asks questions. ;)
