***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I think they need to make a Useless in 2 hours button (similar to the Thanks button), where after 2 hours the post deletes itself, and the thread is self cleaning. That way we can keep the good posts and delete all of the Off Topic posts easily, and still maintain the social aspect that is so fun.

Edit: All posts with 10 Useless in 2 Hours votes would automagically disappear.

It's just a design thing. No deeper meaning than that. I have little doubt it would be possible to manufacture a backplate that is smooth to fit it. Something for the aftermarket to worry about. I couldn't care less about the shape of the backplate, personally.

Point taken. But, do we know the compared size specs of the 2? Maybe the Inc's width (including backdoor "protrusion" - not to be confused with "intrusion") makes it the same size as the ss/evo?!

Nothing against you, but why do I have the sneaking suspicion that two weeks from now we'll still be hearing people say "I just heard Verizon is supposed to start training people on the Incredible in the next week or so!"? "My source/inside friend said it would be released within the next two weeks!" Am I the only one that's grown tired of hearing this? Nothing against you guys, but it's like listening to the same song over and over again.

I had to give it a try today... went to the local Verizon store and talked to the rep...

me = hey i need to check my NE2 eligability and find out about some phones...
him = OK... lets take a look... looks like you are eligable now.
me = great. Have you got any idea when the N1 is coming?
him = we dont have anything official but it will be soon. that is the phone i am getting.
me = really? i am convinced the Inc is going to be better.
him = you think so? well I am pretty sure they are one in the same.
me = why do you think that? have you seen something?
him = i dont know... never mind...
me = hmmm well can you try and look it up in your system? maybe something has changed.
him = i dont have anything to look up
me = sure you do.. try Inc or adr6300
him = well i cant do that... this system wouldnt give us any info anyways...
me = come on... you are talking to a fellow geek here... we gotta stick together. I just want to know if i should buy a droid or eris now or wait it out..
him = if it were me i would wait for the N1
me = well how long do i have to wait?
him = not sure, but by the way things are going around here we expect it to be here real soon.
me = here?.. you think you will get it in store?
him = yes... we will definately be selling them in store.

Hmm, I've never posted information about Verizon specifically until now. And thats because im just NOW hearing this information. The source is extremely reliable. Maybe NKT can comfirm

Joke.........i don't think it's going in-stores anymore. The guy doesn't seem too well informed either. Whatever, we'll see soon enough. I hope he's sure the bloody thing is coming soon. Im at the point where i'll settle for either.

So I took a nap and had the most awesome dream (ya another one of those posts).

Not sure where my mind was when I fell asleep.

I came home with the phone and went to the bathroom. When I came out the phone was gone. I looked in the bedroom and saw my wife "testing the call notification system" and then telling me this phone really is incredible.
