OTA 2.1 Has started..

I am also suffering from LWP lag. All I have done is install dxtop and some themes as well as regular apps, but no other mods or rooting.

i forced the update and everything when fine until the red droid eye came on. my phone then decided to to go back to the droid logo and continue back to the eye. Its now stuck doing this. Any help?

When i first booted my phone, it was super laggy, but that went away after everything loaded, it seems just as fast as 2.0.1, even with the live wallpapers.

After update, no pinch zoom in browser, and gallery app says app not installed. Anybody else have this problem? Is there any fix for this?

I had to replace the gallery app on the homescreen with the one in the launcher. As for the pinch and zoom, make sure youre not on a website for mobile phones. It has to be the full site to work.

And if that doesn't work, I'd suggest doing a full system wipe before installing the update.zip in recovery.

Had some issues with he gallery not loading and it was really laggy. unchecked the picasa sync for all my accounts and rebooted and now its running lovely. Still using Helix launcher with no problems

EDIT: oh and the pinch to zoom is better than the rom versions i was using.

Tried to start a thread on this, but don't see it. Anyone lose their Handcent LED notification after the update? I can't get mine to light.

N/M was being impatient, the thread is there now. I'm not the only one.

Installed this morning, everything seems fine. I am not seeing any lag. I am a little disappointed that you still can't go to landscape mode on the home screen without opening the keyboard. Not that I expected that, but I was hopeful.

haven't gotten the update yet but i was considering trying helix launcher for the extra homescreens...

someone informed me that there is a helix launcher 2 however, is this "2" version simply made for android phones running 2.1? in other words, when i do get the 2.1 update, should i seek out helix launcher 2?

can i still go back to my 'stock home' after running helixlauncher? if so how (do i need a seperate app?)? and will it delete my setup on the other when i switch (from stock home to helix or the other way around)?

thanks for any info.

That is what I thought, but then it kept FCing. Running just HelixLauncher now perfectly.

weird, people have told me helix launcher 2 is optimized for 2.1 and that it runs a lot better.. and u get a 3d drawer or something

Helix Launcher2 will ONLY work on roms that can have the android 3d Launcher2. And even then it is buggy on those Droid custom roms.
Only use the Helix Launcher1 since that is the only one that works.

They sort of re-did the music player as well. Anyone else check that out?
It has Artists, Albums, Songs, and Playlists at the top of the screen all the time when you are in the music player. Seems nifty fifty.

I like it, looks a lot better! Very small changes, but I like the album art behind the track listings.
