Resi Evil 6

Played half an hour or so and i'm really struggling to get into it. Too many QTE's. Too much walking and door opening.
Loved RE4, RE5 was decent but this is just trying too hard to be a movie. I just couldn't be bothered to carry on.

I actually like that. It brings me back to the days of old RE games. After RE2, none have captured that original survival horror feeling. I haven't purchased RE6, and do not plan to. However, this is a good sign for the franchise if they can go back to their roots imo.

It might sound that way but actually it's nothing like the originals. I think it's the cinematography. It's all set piece action scenes rather than fun gameplay. I agree RE 1,2 and 3 were excellent but this pales next to them.

RE6 has lost the scary factor so badly.
It was creepier when you felt isolated and helpless.
Now you just blast guns and it became too hollywood.

So many people want an old school RE game, Capcom needs to listen. Having a co-op partner is not scary. Having basically unlimited machine gun ammo is not scary. Give us something like RE2 or Code Veronica with modern graphics and better controls, or just don't call it Resident Evil. There are enough action games out there already.

Reviews are all over the place, but check out the 1.2 user score. That's one of the worst I've seen on a big name game.
