HAHAHAHA you guys are hilarious!

Jackson - so do you think it's still scheduled to be released first week of June? I already booked that time off work in case I have to sit in a line and also to geek out on it. I know it's probably not June 1, but it's somewhere close to that right? Like you mentioned in the sprint forums? Just trying to plan ahead so I can have some geek time with it.

I just either had a great idea or a great blunder: you decide.

In the other post talking about Flash support, it spurred me to do some research about current Android flash support, and it seems that currently it does not work on 2.1 (even though I think there is a work around). But one of the key features of the Evo is that it will support flash. Since it now seems that the Evo will be released with the newest Android in FroYo, could that mean that FroYo will officially introduce flash support for Android devices?

Also, does anybody know what is rumored to be in FroYo besides handling 4G and my hypothetical Flash support?
Hello SF. There has been a few things said about Froyo the past couple of days, and my post #1242 would be a good place to start.

god i hate closing at work. new sprint site looks nice.
and i still have a strong feeling for June 6th. Redemption day, the one year anniversary of the pre.

I recall the fragmentation issue, and that's great for future updates, but I care about the new features to play with lol.

Welcome to everyone that is moving over from the Sprint forums. I appreciate your positive comments and I appreciate your participation. Once again, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for keeping it friendly here and for making it fun. You have really done a good job keeping it on-topic and you have kept the EVO 4G excitement going. At least for me you have.

Bill

I'm with you sz, but in the Sprint's "Official" specs no mention was made about the screen type. Then just yesterday, I read that even though Samsung developed the Super AMOLED screen, HTC would be able to use it. Humm...

yea i know. its not that big of a deal for me. if its bright and colorful, im happy.

kinda has to do with how we are so nice here..
i was looking at my precentral account and i started 2 threads, only 1 with replies. heres the link

That's what I am good for Bill =] I bring the excitement and my entourage everywhere I go!

The dates that i have been told that were thrwon around at the office were June 4th or 6th. I will try and confirm that asap

So thats anywhere from Fri-Sun. Are those the days Sprint phones usually come out?

I looked at your thread Dylan and see what you mean. I would be real turned off if this tread turned into a bickering mess like that. I'm glad you're here with us. For someone 17 years old, you do a good job of making your point.

Bill do you have a link on that. Sounds interesting.

haha i get that a lot. thanks.

jumping around here..
i was planning on using my tax return to pay for my evo, turns out i owe the IRS $6. 6!!!!! so now im trying to figure out if i still get money back. if i do, it will be more than enough to get the evo and some accessories.

Hi Zaaye. I'm happy to see you back here. I felt that I offended you and felt bad about it later. I hope you saw the comments I made to you after that??

I knew someone was going to ask about the SAMOLED thing, but I didn't save the link. I'll look for it and post it back here tomorrow, if I can find it again.

Bill

No not at all. I was only kidding. Im an old guy. Takes a lot more than that to upset me. I'm excited about this evo. Thanks for keeping the forum going.

It seems unlikely, but if it somehow does come to pass......I-I.....will probably shed a single manly tear of joy...

From a different forum - an insider made a few posts:

"[I'm a] Android certification engineer (build test apps for Sprint android extensions and review CTS results from device manufacturers), plus Sprint Navigation certification owner..

On devices like this though, our whole team (Product Development and Certification) gets involved in testing and ticketing issues. A lot of stuff just gets waived, but most of the legitimate stuff that I open a ticket on, even if it's out of my area of expertise, gets taken seriously."

"We're working out issues with power consumption in 3g and 4g idle mode. I'm personally making efforts to get HTC to improve the 720 video quality and camera auto focusing speed.

Also, in the last software build, they finally configured it so the dual LED flash would pulse first to determine focus and then a second time when the shot is captured.. Finally, clear, focused, fully lit photos that can be taken in complete darkness."

Asked - the week of June 6th or sooner release?

Answer - "Sooner."
