Yes, I know what you meant, but come on...is this THAT serious? We're all having fun in here and I just don't understand why some people are pissy about people having friends in here and talking about stuff.
Honestly, if we didn't have off-topic banter, this thread would be so dead and we would all be bored. Any real solid news for the past couple of weeks would be maybe 15 posts. I enjoy coming in here and reading this stuff. Do I read every post? No. However, do I want to control certain people and take away their freedom to post whatever they like as long as they're not hurting anyone? No.
Again... Until real news is released, we have no choice but to just chat back and forth and keep this thread alive. If no one posted anything for a week in here, everyone would lose interest and we would all stop coming here. The constant conversation in this thread is what keeps it alive and what keeps the draw powerful for getting new members in here who have reliable contacts and relevant news for us. If the heart stops beating, the body dies. It's as simple as that. We need this constant stream of conversation in here, even if a majority of it is nothing that contains any new solid information.
I respect everyone's opinion, but honestly, I would say 95% of the people who come to this thread LOVE IT. Majority rules. I hate to sound like a broken record, but honestly if you don't like the way this thread is ran, just go to the first post and check back regularly to see if there are any more solid leads. If the back and forth conversation bothers you, I would suggest not reading it. Why would you subject yourself to something that upsets you that you obviously can't change?
Let me just say that according to the thanks that are posted under the "keep thread as it is" vs "lets trim out the chit chat", the thinks for "as is" is probabaly 50% higher in votes. Go back and read to confirm if you want. But even if that is the case, what is the purpose here? Is this "Official Incredible" thread meant to be a chat room or a place for people to go for information? I think this forum is broken. I think the people here are fantastic and hugely appreciate all of you, but this is just broken. Literally, there has not been one piece of real news in about a week. Yes, I have had to read through 70 pages to learn that?
Can we just have a thread of news and a page of chat? Surely the admins can see the logic there?
Now for all those that think "screw it, majority rules". lets just think about racial prejeduce for a moment. Does majority rule justify prejeduce? (bad with spelling, so forgive me). When this forum was created, was it created as a chat room or a place to learn and share knowledge? If all the threads continue like this one, This forum will not survive.
When I do web searches, I pick links from reputable web sites. Motley Fool used to be good info, but it changed and is just a bunch of garbage, with only an occaisional nugged of truth. That is what this has turned into. Why aren't moderators scrubbing this? Why haven't they taken the real content and moved it to a separate thread and titled this the "idle chat thread for bored people".
I guess I am getting overly frustrated. Sure, I can just leave. But there aren't any other threads here that post the real news, so I am forced to read through all the chat, just to fine that one interesting bit of news each week.

I am going to ask teh admins to reconsider where this thread is going. enough is enough. Flame me, crucify whatever. I really don't care. I just want to be able to go to a place that is serious about getting answers.
Take a lesson from the Evo Thread. Takes me 5 min to unravel. Billsmed and Twospirits do a fabulous job of keeping more on track.
Finally, even I have posted useless blather here. for that I apologize. Most of the times I have, it has been out of annoyance that there is nothing to read about the Incredible.
Sorry for this being long. I just feel like those that are expressing this concern are getting burried by other "more popular" posters and kicked to the curb.
I am personally done here and this is my parting post. I am now going to dedicate my time to the Evo, since it is a much better phone and much better managed forum thread.
Again, I think the people here are rock stars, but I want rock music, not a bunch of out of work musicians chatting about what could have been.
I hope you figure it out. Sorry if I upset anyone.
