Unfortunately, you attract even more flies with BS, which we have in droves. I'm not going to call BS on somebody for posting something (until their promises fall through), but seriously, somebody with real CREDIBLE info will not be scared of posting it here, because the truth would be on their side, no?
 
Where did I even say two weeks? Im simply relaying information I got from a friend who works at Verizon that TRAINING is scheduled to start soon. If you read that and thought I said the phone was coming out soon, then your an idiot. Dont hate on people because you cant read

I don't consider this to be the truth by any means... if anything, what I gather from this is that the zit faced kids selling the phones in the store don't really have a good idea... I find it hard to believe they would release the N1 and Inc within 30 days of each other though. From a business standpoint it doesnt make sense to release two flagship phones in the same quarter even. Especially since they are both HTC manufactured phones.
 
I should just work up the guts and walk into the verizon call center I work next to. They have a nice large customer service call center right next to where I work in Rochester, NY

Yeah, but they don't owe us anything, so why go through the hassle of proving something to people who are gonna be ungrateful until you give them cold hard evidence which they may not be able to get right away.

Take your information, combine it with the (confirmed) information that generally training starts 1 to 1.5 weeks before release and you arrive at a 2-2.5 week release rumor.

Then don't post until you have something that's credible. We've established that 99% of VZW employees know less than the people on this forum, so why take what one says as the truth without some kind of evidence?

What if there are two versions? Say the Google Nexus One were the original with CDMA and Verizon's version was a Nexus One Signature Edition (VZW Exclusive!!!1! HOLY S$#&). Google gets it's standardized product and Verizon gets something special. Would the odds be totally against that?

It certainly could explain some of the confusion about Verizon's Nexus One's in store availability. There was also the Sense UI confusion a while back.

If we didn't post the forum members' inquiries to their VZW reps, we wouldn't talk about anything besides Steven58's daughter.

What more do you need training on the Incredible that you didn't get on the Eris. Both interface's will be pretty much the same. I'm sure it doesn't take 1 to 2 weeks training.
 
Well, I got bored and dug up the FCC certification again. Also, I remembered Apple did something for the original iPhone to game the system...and wanted to check on that.

Apple announced the iPhone on the 9th of Jan, 2007. However, they didn't get FCC approval until May 17th...and the had the GOOD STUFF (photos + users manual) on a 45 day confidentially from the grant date, which is July 1, 2007.

The iPhone went on sale on the 29th of June.

So why is this interesting? Well, HTC is lazy. They dumped everything (photos, manuals, and all) over the wall on the 9th of Feb this year...and got the Grant the day of.

Which means, they can drop this thing at any time. Everything not super secret becomes public on the 6th of August...but they don't have to release it by that date (but, I doubt it's cheap to get all the testing done to get THIS far...).

Oh, and my sources say soon too. They also told me where Jimmy Hoffa is buried, and where the Fountain of Youth is located.

We've had "VZW employees" tell us "N1=Inc," "Inc doens't exist," "two weeks," "any day," "March 23," etc. They don't know. Does that mean I don't want to hear from them? No, but I don't want to hear from somebody who posts BS to get kudos. I want to hear from people who have legitimate info.

Would we all hold NKT in such esteem if he had never posted pics? Would we believe a word he says? Evidence establishes credibility, and people who have real knowledge have real evidence. That's all I've got to say about that.

Agreed. This forum was built around heresay and rumors. Of course we want confirmation, but if we waited for that this forum wouldn't exist yet. It's not a conspiracy, we know the phone exists, and I believe that the majority of these stories are true or at least not blatent lies. Call me an optimist if you want but that's my opinion.

Except IncrediblyAnnoying alread posted a picture, and then everyone called it fake.
 
I prefer to keep it fun, here. I don't get down on anyone for any reason other than what the rules state. I also have to keep reminding myself that I am talking to people who are generally young, inexperienced and who tend to speak before they think, popping off angrily or judgmentally. But, if Google releases the N1, how many people are going to NOT buy a phone from Verizon and buy it from Google? Verizon could be worried about this and so is releasing THEIR OWN Android 2.1 phone so that they can make some money off it. You're dealing with 2 different companies here, three if you count HTC (Which, in my opinion, is the REAL winner here)
 
Ugh, everytime i read this forum it drives me to call a different VZW store, i've called literally like 8-10 stores today and only 2 have been leads where the VZW rep actually knew about the phone. All of the others were VERY quick to respond NO. I think there must be a system msg posted about this phone to control leaks.
