Root [Merit] Speedfreak has a new home... Details here!

Hi,and thanks for the nice rom...I tried it,and it works just fine, but I found two minor bugs/errors,don't know to call them...:)

first, home button is not working.I can't go to home screen from menu,or some app with it,and recent apps won't pop up when I hold it for few seconds...
second, there is no possibility to lock desktop(slide to the right to unlock),I can only turn off diplay with hardware button on the top of the phone.

anyway,I appreciate your work, and just want to say thanks,again...

Thank you for the feedback, those bugs are quite inconvienent, I will do my best to resolve them. Zajchik also made the observation that airplane mode and silent mode are not accesible from the power down menu, only the power off option is displayed.

Again thank you for testing my ROM and providing feedback, Admittedly, I am new to android development, so every bit helps.

I am building an extremely extensive themed framework and User Iinterface for this ROM. It is very similar to my original speedfreak ROM, I hope it is well recieved.

Thank you for this great rom. I can confirm bugs from past posts. It is very smooth. What are the stable settings for oc considering battery drain and stability? Thanks again and keep up the good work. Cheers!

I see that you're working on theme packs, please include one with ics blue but white dock like stock ics, 'cause this looks too colorful for me.

Your battery will drain vary quickly for the first few days while your battery learns to coooperate with it. Lots of people have reported this happening, it is normal. After about two days, it will stabilize.

Believe it or not, I keep my phone underclocked to 480, this further increases battery life, but the phone should remain stable overclocked to 787.

I have it stable at max frequency. Battery drain is pretty good, considering I had it charged once and used the phone intensively whole day. I hope you'll be able to fix those minor bugs. Thanks again.

Yes, I have found solutions for the "power down menu" bug, and the "home button to home screen" bug. I will be posting the updated version tonight, and if my three month old daughter cooperate, I will also be able to have this update fully themed... it gonna be good...

I installed widgetsoid and this blue theme overlays notification widget and it looks bad. Please make a clear theme if it is not too much trouble.

My wife can't believe it is the same phone, it is so smooth and fast. And I installed loads of apps and still its fast.

P.S. My 1,5 y/o daughter was waking up and crying all last night, so I was awake and testing your ROM. Sometimes kids help even not knowing. :p

Hahaha... guys my kids are grown and I
do not have these problems. :p
jamespfassett I think the problem with
the black screen is connected to the auto-
rotate, I was turned off and the problem
disappeared. Loocksreen appears when
the phone is switched on but simply
disappear after the first unlock. Other apk
lock screen running fine.

If you like I can leave the stock zte radio in for the final version this will be no problem at all, the base rom that I have contains opera mini, but I left it out because I belive it is more of a personal preference.

Im very glad that you enjoy my rom, and that it has helped your phone. The update that I will finish up tonight will fix those bugs and bring the rom a little closer to completion.

More color choices will be available in time, but themeing takes a while to get right, if it gets messed up, it really gets messed up. I have had to start over once, but am on the right track now.

@Zajchik, I have also noticed that the bug you speak of seems to be tied into the auto-rotation, the interesting thing is that this bug also showed up in my first rom, and I was unable to fix it. It seems that in porting my original rom onto Motorheads MH1.1E, I also ported the bug...

Look forward to the update in about an hour...

Ok, so it seems that it is actually my themeing efforts that are breaking the power down menu options and the home button functionality, but I have fixed those bugs in the the new beta version. I call it beta because it is still only minimally themed. And I also added Power Toggles for easy on/off switching for all sorts of things, totally customizable.

v1.0 will take a little while to finish because I have to start the theme from scratch, but fear not, I am working on it.

Uh, just changed baby's diapers. I really needed this ROM refreshment. :D
So, we should be a little more patient, right?

P.S.
Thanks for the toggles. I have stock browser in my ROM. I could post my backup for you to look at. I would really like to strip it and put in here because it is stable and light. But if it is too much trouble, nevermind. I suppose it is not that simple to extract it. I tried searching and found tutorials only on how to extract apps that were added (i.e. from the market). I would also love to learn how to do it myself but don't have a clue where to start.

Guys this is a problem with winrar, you
just need to unpack again. If it fails,
extract it on your phone. I have a test
version had to unpack on the phone with
es filler, because it does not winrar was
able.
I'll try the new version later

ok let me try it again from my end... it will be a zip file this time.

ok it will be ready as soon as it uploads to my dropbox, ill be right here...
