Note 2 Screen Recording Feature

Hi,I'm from Bangkok. My friends got galaxy note 2 and there is no screen recorder app. Do you guys in UK or else where have this app on the device?

I saw the screen recording feature in the hands-on video with the Note 2 from Samsung Mobile, but couldn't find any user created videos after the launch of the device. Can anybody who has the device confirm that the feature is available on the device? (it is supposed to begin recording the screen when you press the home button and up volume at the same time)

I would also like to know how this works. Also, what file format does it save in and can you upload these videos directly to YouTube?

At this point, Screen Recording does not work. I guess as usual, we need to wait for a firmware update from Samsung to get this back. Likewise, the ability to use the S Pen to mark off events in the S Planner (which is part of the video) is not there as well.

I hate how videos get posted of all the things a device is capable of doing but when we get them those features aren't present. IMO, this screams of false advertising--not that'll stop us from actually buying it.

Screen Recorder is not working / has been removed from Galaxy Note2 due to potential copy-write infringements.
If you have purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note2 after watching their advertising stating this feature will be included you can take Samsung to your local small claims court for a full network, retail refund plus your expenses!!

They are breaking the (UK law) Sale of Goods Act 1979 where goods must be: 'as described'. Therefore they are liable to refund contract and retail price of my phone and will be doing so. (less recision)

The retailer is not at fault as product is not repairable and vodafone (my network provider) is not at fault as coverage is as stated.

Hope this helps

This is true to the extent that you can show that you relied on this particular misrepresentation when buying the phone.

Don't forget though, if you are claiming rescission (i.e. putting the parties back into the position they were at the start of the contract) then you would have to give the phone back too!

The screen recording feature isn't a big deal, especially when weighed against the other great features of the phone. For screen recording on my PC I use FRAPS which is just software. I am sure that in due course Samsung or someone else will create such software.

Was a big deal for me. Was going to be a selling feature-great for my work.

The ability to freehand annotate & record sound at the same time isn't something most pc's can do easily.

That's weird. I could have sworn I saw a video about that. Why would they remove such a feature?
To be honest I didn't even know about this feature until you guys mentioned it, now I want my money back!
Lol, its a nice feature but one I will probably never use, might be in a future upgrade maybe.

Seeing as this was your first and only post, would you mind revealing where you got this information?
