The Note 2 is truly amazing and worth the wait!

I've been 12 yrs landline-free. Wouldn't have it any other way. Cell only is such a wonderful option.

Ditto.. been 13 for me. Well, I just got married last year and hobby has one strictly for the alarm system, there's not even a phone plugged in anywhere.

First post in this forum but I have no one to ***** to about this phone. I've been impatiently waiting for the release of this phone on Verizon. I'm ready to get away from the IOS's of apple and return home to the droid world! I used to have the HTC HD2 then went to an iPhone and missed the droid world dearly. I'm even ending my contract early so I can get this phone :)

Thats the only problem with most contracts today. To get a decent data bundle you have to take stupid amounts of minutes and texts.

I went via dialphone for mine as t-mob wouldnt let me upgrade to the note. I went via orange panther so I could get the deezer unlimited music swappable as thats what most of my data bundle goes on anyways.

Free phone and a cheaper contract than I was paying for a nexus s. Shame I get 900 mins I'll never ever use.

Here we have postpaid plans that are customizable :-) it's very nice

I seriously hate ALL you UK folks. I'm still waiting for the N2 to hit the states and it's killing me :( I don't want my iPhone 4 anymore. Want to get rid of it.

Seriously man - I feel the same! Oct 24th can't come soon enough! I just hope they actually RELEASE the device on that date.

Even when Apple announces a new phone it doesn't get released until about a week later. I doubt it'll come out that day personally, though I wish it would.

They have recently made it so that if you sell a phone on ebay you have to submit the IMEI number for verification. So , if the seller tries anything funny, their ass is grass.

if they give a good IMEI number of someone else's phone... but mail to you a bad IMEI phone...

how would ebay know or what would they do about it???

They almost always side with the buyer in cases like that. eBay is useless if there are no buyers and sellers are a dime a dozen. Even if it means losing a seller, they'll always side with the buyer and bend the seller over a barrel.

I've even heard of some cases where the Seller gets screwed over by the buyer. The seller will ship the actual unit in the auction. Then the buyer will "replace" it with their own broke model or some other similar phone and say the seller sent them the wrong phone. Then the buyer will file a complaint with the seller. In cases like this, the buyer is supposed to mail back the item in question so all they do is ship their bogus/broken phone back to the seller and provide the tracking number as proof of shipment. Once the seller realizes they have the wrong phone, there's not much they can do at that point. PayPal/eBay will simply see that the item was returned and then credit the buyer back for the auctions costs/payments.

That is a possibility, but if the buyer didn't get the original phone then ebay could have the IMEI number blocked, so it would be right back in the sellers lap?

The IMEI number identifies not only the individual handset but the model of phone. How would you obtain this from an "innocent bystander"?

i dont know.. they just do...

but i would guess..
pretending to buy someone else's GOOD phone and asking them for their IMEI.

Keyboards for GN2...What about Swype as an option? I am totally hooked on Swype and would love to have it on my upcoming GN2. But I haven't heard anyone talk about any keyboard except the stock one that moves from side to side.

What is the 4-1-1 on alternate keyboards for the GN2?

I'm pretty sure it works just like the GS3 whereas you can use whatever keyboard you get from the Play Store or sideload. It probably comes with 2 or 3 keyboards stock as well, as my Note 1 did.

I think it has Swype

My Galaxy Note I has been rubbish since day one. Did all this stuff get fixed on the GN II?

"Voice talk" would pop up all the time. 'Voice Talk" was nothing but a problem that did not function as advertised. I was freed of it once ICS came out.

The Bluetooth headset drivers are hard coded to work with "Voice talk". It would never work with Pandora, Skype, or anything else. Only the basic functionality works.

The pen has never worked. If I get it within 3 cm of the glass, I get strings of characters without ever tapping. I tossed it in the rubbish bin.

The phone looses its "marbles", and must be restarted every few days.

Sometimes the battery refuses to charge unless the phone is cold started.

The phone looses all connectivity with the network and must be restarted. I have used four different carriers. The problem persists.

When I rent movies I always get one of two messages, 'Can't fetch license' or 'can not play on a rooted device'. My phone is NOT rooted. I even downloaded a utility to verify that it did not come rooted.

I have friends with the same phone. They are seeing much of the same problems.

My girlfriend is Asian and her hands are very small. Her iPhone is very reliable, but I can not use it. I am a American with German DNA so my hands are huge (I live in Singapore for political reasons).

I need the large screen, and Samsung is the only phone for me until a more reliable manufacturer comes along with a larger phone.

I am not here to rip on Samsung or Android, I just need a phone that works! I acknowledge that the GN has a good looking display, and good audio, but I favor reliability.
