I've been taught to believe the incredible from the time I was small.
I looked at the wafer in his hand and said "I know what you said but it STILL just looks like a rice cracker to me."
This is one Incredible I WANT to believe in. No blame, no shame, and every day we get closer--even the days when nothing happens.
That's just a function of the drivers. When polled by the drivers, the device simply reports back its device ID. Its a failsafe, and probably a smart one. But the reality is that the drivers for the Eris are the same as the drivers for the Incredible are the same as the drivers for the Desire, etc. etc.
If you knew the device ID string of the Motorola Shadow you could put that into Cellebrite today (using the Droid drivers) and it would work perfectly in theory (but for the fact that the phone may or may not exist in physical form).
I stand by my original assertions: this tells us that the Incredible exists, that its an Android phone, and that Verizon intends to sell it sometime.
Man. This has been really depressing to read. There's something about passing the April 1st mark that made me feel pretty sad. Back in late January, I was thinking 3rd week of March. After CTIA, I was thinking early April. Now it seems like April may not even be possible. I honestly thought I'd have an Incredible by now. =(

my better half got her undergrad at USD, then went to SDSt to start her grad but didn't finish...
I'm gonna go out of the limb and say that maybe it's because the phone doesn't technically exist yet.Same reason why it's not on Verizon's website either.
We know it exists though.
I see HTC 3600 listed on the Cellebrite site - Isn't that the Incredible?

Exciting and "factual", sure, but I wouldn't call them "solid leads". It indicates that the phone is coming sometime soon, which we already knew. It does not help us confirm features or actual release dates, unfortunately...

I just did an update on my cellbrite, no Incredible, either it leaked into his machine from cellbrite corp on accident, your friend is "incredibly" special, or it's a shopped pic.

There's been 2 pics from separate sources which is why we assume its confirmed. Did you do a manual update or did it ask you for an update? Maybe said update hasn't been pushed to your machine yet.
Just a thought.

Verizon Nexus One Release Update: Import Restrictions To U.S.
Hopefully their suit fails. Wonder what would happen if some of us users started filing suit against Apple for holding up progress and preventing fair competition by trying to create a smartphone monopoly. I wonder if a few hundred folks did that if they'd get the idea?
(just pondering, don't take my idea too seriously, but I am really tired of Apple stomping on any competition they face. Competition means better, less expensive things for us consumers.)
