Im on a mission for this phone ive always been able to retrieve prl files from metro phones seems they have done something to this phone to keep us from sharing the prl, i have everything enabled in hidden menu i follow the tut on youtube using a tool called DFS cdma tool i was sucsessful in getting the phone to be reconized as a port on my computer the program worked great i entered my spc and bam it picked up everything but when i go to read the prl it dosnt show up. some users might ask why do i want the prl file the answer is very simple i want to continue helping others in the esteem section perhaps the prl will benefit them as well. and ofcourse once i get curious about something i wont stop till i figure it out lol. so please no negative comments just suggestions ideas or whatever thanks!
 
get QPST

Load QPST, under Start Clients menu, select Service Programming.
Click Read from Phone and enter MSL (000000).
Then Save to file. This will save a .qcn and .rl0 file.
In QPST, under Start Clients menu, select RL Editor.
In RL Editor, load your .rl0 file. Go to File, Save As..., make sure type is *.prl and enter a file name.
(or just rename the .rl0 file to .prl)

should work, no?
 
lol tiede ive done all that bud u know how we roll bud its that the gs3 dosnt have modem mode or aka internet mode so when i enable it it works fine phone shows up at port com8 but then when i go to service programming the phone dosnt show up in the list but on the cdma app it shows up lets me go into programming i enter spc then read from phone no prob but when i go to read prl nothing lol ill play with it some more when i get home im baby sitting my lil neice at the moment lol concerning 4g speeds way better than the esteem with latest prl thats why im trying to retrieve this prl to share with esteem section to see if helps improve ya speeds.
