Whereas what you are saying is pretty much true, at least of me, the directive of this forum (read initial post) it is as if we are chatting around a water cooler about the Incredible and stuff. Gossip is what happens around the cooler. We gossip about people, gossip about gossip... we rate each others stories like women around a cooler (sorry ladies).... so whereas what you are saying is true, our job is to gossip and stuff... I think we're a doing a fine job! :p
 
Ok guys-

Once I saw the Incredible was in the Cellebrite, I had to check it out for myself.. Yes I went to work on my day off- cut me some slack here :D
Saw it in the Cellebrite, and I even set up a contact transfer from my phone to an Incredible just to see if I could learn anything else about it by doing that, but all I could find out is that its definitely micro USB and the process for setting it up as a disk drive is slightly different on 2.1..

I also sat down at a comp in the back to scrounge up anything that I could find in the system on it whatsoever- that pic shows inventory for stores, so at this point, looks like the main shipping warehouses have not received any yet- that screen is always real-time. I happen to know that the warehouse that serves my area is in DFW. Also, I know there has been mentions debating these screenshots, saying the fields can be manually edited- this is definitely not the case. When you enter in the SKU, it auto-populates in the Item Description field- its kinda hard to see from the pic, but the text is a different color altogether- grayed out, so no editing..

I'm not sure if the specs have changed, but posted one of each of those too- it would take me way too long to dig up the past posts..

EDIT: Also scoured the Cellebrite for any new phones other than the Incredible- didnt find anything..

You know what really frustrates me? I work in the testing industry, I have tested all, and I mean all the RIM/BB phones long before they hit the market (we are a 3rd party testin firm) and HTC refuses to give us any business, because they are a foreign company and most foreign companies do not comply with us testing standards or even try to follow them. Yes I have seen the Nexus 1 testing videos and frankly, I'm not impressed. I've been on the inside and I know how it works and this is truly dragging out the process. I just want them to send me an Incredible to test, is that too much to ask? ;)

Just like a typical messy divorce it usually boils down to whose got the best lawyer(s). I'll bet you there's more than a few high powered law firms out there just waiting for this one.

So "On Order" probably means it's not in the warehouse it's how many they ordered from HTC and still waiting to receive them? Right?

It wasn't meant as an insult -- it's simply a fact. I've got no real problem with the composition and content of this thread.

I do find it odd that there is such a dearth of real inside information. Every other pre-release phone that I obsessed over (e.g., Voyager 1, Storm 1) had at least one resident guy with solid intel. The EVO thread definitely has one right now.

In this thread NKT comes closest, but his information is a bit limited. :(

Well, silly, of course u lose ur NE2. It just depends on how much u want a new device!

Look at it this way, when first released the Moto Droid was 300 with a 100mir. With an annual upgrade you would pay 320 with a 100 mir= final cost of 220.

With a 50 NE2 credit, ur final cost would be 150. So how important is that $70? Worth the Incredible? You decide, but I say yes.

Or of course u can save ur NE2 and ur upgrade and pay full retail, which for the Droid was 550 if memory serves.

Myself, I never had anything useful to provide previously so figured I didn't need to register nor chit-chat aimlessly. I never post much @ places I've been a member of for years either (@ one board I've been there since '00 and barely have more than 100 posts in the entire time) It's the OCD in me, I'm hard pressed to mindlessly post what I'd consider "drivel" (can read it all day though o.0 )


But, back to the point. It's the internet I as well take everything w/ a grain of salt and If'n y'all don't believe me it's no skin off my nose.

Where and when?

I would like to know where you are ( approximate location or region) and when this appeared. I think it would be helpful for us to paint a picture (along with the other to posters) of what this really means... And also better late than never and ty for the post :)
 
Long story short... I was at a Verizon store in KS... I got tired of waiting for the incredible and figured I'd just get the Eris and hope within the next thirty days the Incredible comes out.. During the exchange of my numbers I saw the incredible listed and (we'll, about had a heart attack) and when the rep walked away while my numbers were transferring; I snuck the pic. :)
 
Yes I am a new poster and stumbled onto this tread searching for info on the about the incredible on the internet. I would rather read REAL comments from posters as to information they received regarding the incredible through contacts at Verizon and other outlets then most of the nonsense talking that goes on here.
