Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] metro mostly stock pull in odin ready tar files..

I have not messed with android for a while and the metro galaxy s III is now my new toy

that said I was messing around with my boot.img and managed to make my phone not boot. As things are I took the time to pull my boot.img before flashing my phone and
after trying several other boot.img files had to flash the original back...

In the event that anyone needs to do the same I will post links to the odin ready tar files
as I flash and test them...

I can tell you that any file I post here worked on my METRO PCS Samsung Galaxy III
I do not make any clams that these will work on anyone else's device other then mine.

Thank you so much!! Is there anyway you can please upload the stock recovery? My touchscreen button or the back and home button just suddenly stopped working :( I have no idea why and I want to go to metropcs tomorrow get a replacement. Please help me
 
sorry that is one I will not be able to post at this time as I rooted my phone by flashing my recovery...
so if I pull my recovery partition you flash it what you will get is cwm... sorry...

Oh man thanks a lot though, from reading the other thread were you one of the person who bricked the phone?
 
you just about cannot brick a Galaxy phone... I've been around from the first days of the G1 and have bricked A LOT of phones ... but very few galaxies... if a phone will not boot that does not make it a brick ... a BRICK is a thing that looks and feels like a phone but WILL NEVER BOOT or show any kind of life.,.. Yes my phone would not boot, but most of the time this can (and was) fixed ...

in your case I'm thinking that the conductive buttons on your phone a bad... and that it might not have anything to do with your rooting the phone .... (just my guess) but I see the problem you have in not wanting to try a warranty claim with cwm installed...
 
Thank you so much for the stock recovery, I was wondering if someone could post the metro backup from cwm for restore that would be great. Man now phone boots up as us cellular and iis just stuck at the activation screen what is going on??
 
as I said... I think I'm getting too old, and the android community has gotten SO big... I feel like saying " back in my day...bla bla bla" A friend posted the 4th bday of the g1... I posted a picture of mine... still working (I've killed over 30 phones doing my time as a android hacker..) god I feel old..

thats what mine phone is doing... and i have no 4g.. just can make calls... i could not even do a text untill added go sms... but to get past that activation screen just call your phone it will goto voice mail but within two mins your phone will be up and runing.. but you will have no data.. just go into network can change it to cdma only and you will only have 1x.. and use go sms for text.. hope that helps... my new phone will be in on weds can't wait

By the way how did this happen to your phone the us cellular is your also showing the us cellular boot animation instead of metropcs??

Yah wtf thats why I even waited for a unbrick method to not modify any files and but this is how I get screwed I will be dead pissed if metropcs corporate store screws with me tomorrow.
