OK, I fail at making backups, but lets go beyond that.
I have flashed a rom that has ext4 file system and req's oc rom for the admire, set at 900.
My phone doesnt operate at 900 without massive fc all the time - 850 I can kinda get away with, but basically i need to stay at 800.
Given that I have no rfs filesystem backups, what I would like to do is simply make the kernel boot at 800mhz and then use setcpu to maintain that speed.
Now, what exactly has to be modified to make this change on boot?
Im teaching myself about roms as I go and I just learned to decompile a boot.img, so I can use the faq Im reading to walk myself through changes and recompiling, but Im basically a script kiddie at this point, and I need my hand held please.
What files to edit and what edits to make - information please?
**** OR **** if its possible to flash a seperate kernel thats not oc'd but handles ext4 file systems and would be better on my battery life anyways, please advise as to how to do that!
