AT&T 2 phones, same number

I am on AT&T w/ a Skyrocket. That takes a mini-SIM. I pre-ordered the Note2 which takes a micro-SIM. I'd like to use both phones w/ the same number but make the choice of which one to take w/ me depending on the situation.

Now, I know that I can get a micro-sim to normal sim adapter and swap the sims between both phones like that... but I've read that the adapters are crap and using them could damage the contacts on your phone so I'm scared.

One curious idea I had was whether I even needed to swap SIMs. Considering that I am "officially" upgrading via AT&T and the phones take different sized SIM cards, shouldn't they ship me the Note2 w/ the new SIM card? If I don't throw away the old SIM card, can't I use both phones turning off one when the other is in use?

Does anyone have experience with this?

if i can remember correctly, my new sim was activated and the old one deactivated.

No joy on (2) phones with the same number.

At best you could port your main number to a ring blast app (e.g. Google Voice, Vonage, etc), or start giving out a 3rd number, and have that number ring the (2) unique cell #s.
