Root I need HELP!!!!!!!! cant mount sd card and cant acces phone

hey i have a serious issue
i have an evo 4g, and i rooted my phone. the problem is i thought i can get of the root by deleting the root stuff on the phone. that didnt work and then i didnt have a slide to unlock thing, so i couldnt mount as disk drive.
i need to be able to unroot phone. the phone is currently stuck in bootloop.
i tried ruu and didnt work. i kept trying and kept getting error 170.
i also tried unrevoked forever and pc36img.zip
my phone is s-on and relocked
i have sdk-tools
i really need help

o.k...do you remember how you originally rooted?
Also, can you post back what is written in your bootloader screen? All of it please because the more info, the better we can assist you...
 
i was originally rooted with htc dev method
and:

o.k..if you don't remember it's ok...but what ruu did you first try?

Do you have a card reader? The reason I ask, I was going to have you run a ruu via the PC36IMG method or the exe method.
 
i have a card reader and i put the pc36img.zip on but it said it doesnt work

Yeah that is the wrong ruu....you have to be careful what you flash for your phone...just an fyi :)

o.k...lets do this power down your phone...take out the sd card and put it in computer...delete any PC36IMG files.

Download this file:
Dev-Host - PC36IMG_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.67.651.3_Radio_2.15.00.12.19_NV_2.33_release_234563_signed.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

After downloading, rename it exactly like this: PC36IMG.zip
Make sure you do not add an extra .zip to the end or it will not work.
Windows hides file extentions so if you manually add the .zip, it will look like this PC36IMG.zip.zip---no worky:)
Then drag it over to your sd card...the "root" or, the top of your sd card. Make sure it is not in any folder or it will not work.

Put sd card back into phone. Boot into bootloader by holding the volume down button while pressing/holding the power button until your bootloader screen comes on....release both buttons.
Bootloader will scan for the file you just put on there...if renamed correctly and not in any folders, it will install then ask you to update....say yes, then reboot.

hmmm...okay..don't worry, we'll get thru this.
I gotta go pick up my son but I'll be back.
I'm thinking perhaps pull the battery after another couple minutes or so, then power phone back on normally, not via bootloader. But standby on that...I need confirmation about pulling battery...

I think thats the same one I linked. I dont see any newer listed.

Reboot into bootloader and run the .exe from the comptuer with your phone hooked up (fastboot mode)
 
What was the error it brought up?

Try re-running it. I've had it fail a few times before. Try restarting your computer and phone
