Hey guys im Adam from orange county, Cali and just got a Note 2. I had my aunt from dubi ship me one over here. My current build is alih (last 4 digits) and I know a new update came out that lets you split screen. From the phone I tried to serch for an update but it said it was up to date. Can anyone tell me how I can get this update? It seems very useful.

Hi, the update was for multi-tasking which lets you do things on screen at the same time, long press on the 'back' soft button and a tab will appear, you can edit what you want to use for multi-tasking also.

Long press on the back button to open up tabs on the left and th regularen drag the 2 that you want to multi task with onto the screen.
The screen will split once you drag the 2nd option over.

GhFor some reason I keep holding the soft key back button and the multitask bar does not appear. Do I have do activate it in settings? Tried everything but nothing happens. Any light here?

Also you must have updated your phone to the latest software for this to work, its not in the 1st release of the phone(in the UK anyway)

Just tried holding the back button I got nothing. Where can I get the update? Is it through Kies?
Edit: through my phone it says my software is up to date.

yes - you need the fw update
By the way - can the apps be changed on the multi screen shortcuts? Some of them I dont use and others that I do use arent appearing.

yes what he said ^.

No, you can't. Those are the only apps that were optimized for multi-screen use. I agree most of them are useless.

oh. I hope they change its application list else its a bit pointless!

Could do with handscent and hotmail....just in case anyone from Samsung/Google is listening...

In one of the threads they wrote some dev teams have been working on that. But I hope Samsung will come up with something in the next update
