I went to settings/developer options/and i went down where it says apps i checked on don't keep activities, also on background process limit i put at least 2 processes, i don't know if doing this is ok.

Please so a quick search, this has been covered a few times already. What you are doing is not going to improve your battery life.

I think the greatest single thing you can do to extend your battery life is to turn data off. I think you can still text too. Now my question is, is there a fast way to do this othwr than going through all the menus

Auto close processes didn't help my battery life but limiting it to 4 background and turning off data seems to. Also under location services turn off GPS and WIFI. If/when you want to use your GPS just turn on GPS via the pull down menu and then start the navigation program. Being in an area with bad reception will kill the battery too so I have gotten into the habit of turning on airplane mode when I'm out in the sticks.

Go all the way to the right click edit, look at the right hit the plus sign, then check the ones you want to add.

Sent from my typewriter.

Great! awesome you do not know how much time this will save me, I would always just have to go in to the menus and I would forget to turn it back on or off. this makes things so much easier and I will save a lot more battery being able to do this quickly

i get excellent battery life without turning off anything. i dont even use the powersave feature.

if i play FF3 all day i'll get 5-6 hours.

if i listen to music all day i'll get 10-12 hours.

if i do neither all day, i get 30 hours.

what do you do on your phone?

I just found out that doing what i did helps save battery life a lot, first turn off data, then go to settings, developer options, go down where it says apps, check where it says don't keep activities, where it say background process limit put no background process, and of course turn power saver on and your battery will last more than a day.also on location services all that should be off, also the brightness should be on 0% if your gonna use it indoors, but if your gonna use it outdoors with a sunny day put 50% brightness, it works.

I also noticed limiting to 4 background processes lowers RAM usage by

about 40 to 80 meg .

One problem I noticed on my phone is turning phone off resets background

processes to "standard limit " the default setting -

I think this is one of the software errors in 77010d -I've been

talking to LG about this and a few other things- some of the LG support

reps think Metro PCS writes the sofware ( ? !
