GN2 keyboard?

Ave any of you made the switch to swift key or have you stuck with the stock keyboard?? I love the fact that you have the numbers readily available on the stock

I just thought about it, but I had purchased this when it was on one of the amazon free app of the day:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImNvbS5iZWFuc29mdC5rZXlib2FyZHBsdXMiXQ..

I wonder how that would work with the Note 2. The keyboard has selections for "phone" or "tablet," but in the Note 2's case, the tablet keyboard might work better for some folks.

I also got this keyboard. I have to use mainly swype due to long fingernails. All the more reason for the s-pen.

I like Swiftkey, but I don't use it. I'm using stock. It has a dedicated number row, which I like (I haven't had that since the OG G1), and the one-handed use is superb!

Swiftkey has a problem with internet forms. The keyboard would get wonky when I tried to use it to sign into sites and fill out forms. It really bothered me.

did you report it so they have a chance to fix it? Apps only get better through user input and requests.;)

I love swiftkey3 BUT the ability to move the keyboard to the right or left depending on what-handed you are is killer. Heres to hoping Swiftkey adds this feature..I've totally emailed the devs.

So far I find I'm liking the keyboard. I like the numbers on top and prediction. What I can't seem to figure out is if I have the wrong word I can't just press to delete, I have to scroll to erase each letter and I don't like that. Maybe I'll check out the settings.

To anybody that's using the Swype beta, is swyping with the s pen faster than your finger? It seems like it could be a killer combo..

The stock keyboard is nicer than anything Samsung has ever included, but it's still missing two killer features from SwiftKey:

First, you can't change the long press delay. If you change the long press delay in SwiftKey to 200ms, there's no real need for a number row, because the alternate keys pop up so quickly.

Second, you can't swipe left across the keyboard to erase entire words. This saves so much time if you start typing a word so wrong that the suggestions don't even know what you were trying to type. Or if you notice it picked the wrong word and typed two more. This is absolutely essential.

That's why I moved back to SwiftKey after spending some time with the default keyboard.

I think using the pen with swype is horrible. Too many times letters aren't recognized which causes skips and stuttering. I don't know if it's due to s-pen incompatibility with swype or not. Finger and swype produces great results.

I figured, if the s pen is out, one would use handwriting recognition, rather than swype, right?

You would think so but I haven't figured out how to get it to work. For example, when I reply to a post using stock keyboard there is no option to change to handwriting.

Oddly enough, I posted Swype and the pen was horrible. Using it now and it's flawless. Go figure....
