As above really I dont think the samsung card will be out anytime soon, wondering if those of you with the sandisk card has had to format it or do anything special for it to work flawlessly with your note2?

Nothing at all. I turned off the phone, popped the card in and started up the phone. It recognized the card as it started up. Very easy!

Just like ed said. I've never had a card that I needed to format before use. Mine is Sandisk 32GB class 10.

Glad to hear it won't be a pain, I wasn't expecting it to be, but it's nice that it works straight out of the box like that. I bought a 64 GB card off Amazon, should get here tomorrow. Can't wait. ^_^ I'm planning on using this phone in the place of a 16 GB Nexus S 4G and a 32 GB iPod Touch, so I figured 64 GB aught to be way more than enough.

As stated above, The Sandisk 64GB SDXC card is pre-formatted as FAT32

Works right away in Note 2 as long as no file is larger than 4GB. I read reports of a few who had very large Movie Files and had issues, but a video file conversion utility (HandBrake) can typically solve those problems.

Yeah. I'm after a large card for mine. I need to carry a lot of drawings, pdf's documents etc, plus not worry about taking photos & vids for both work and play.
in 2 years I expect to use up a lot of GB's and that's without downloading any movies.

I already have over 50 GB collection of MP3's but I dont expect to upload the whole collection.
