Is anyone else having call problems with their spec today? I'm wondering if it's Sandy related or ICS related. When I make a phone call, people can't hear me. Also when people call me, I can't hear them. When we can actually hear each other, I will be able to talk for about a minute or so and the call drops. It is also happening to my wife's spec so I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

I haven't had any problems with mine. Let sandy pass and see how it is. I'm pretty sure it's from the storm.

This happened to me today, first phone call since updating to ICS (I email and text, but rarely talk to people), I could not hear anything, not even static when I turned the volume all the way up on speaker phone, it also happened a few times before ICS, but only a few times.

im the same way.. but so far with v7 i havent had any issues... havent made or received any calls today... so idk
That's what happened to me. The internet and texting are working fine but calls are all messed up. I never had this issue with GB. I will let Sandy pass and give it a week or so before I annoy Verizon.
I've had phone issues since update on Friday. I don't think it's the storm, unless you haven't updated to ICS. Quality is awful, getting random disconnects, people either cannot hear me or I cannot hear them. I expected other buggy issues but not the phone quality. I'll be looking for some fixes today.
I have updated to ICS, I'm wondering if this is why it took so long to come out. They still don't have it right.

This sounds very similar to a problem the Galaxy Nexus has, especially in the Carolinas and in Colorado.

Interesting correlation, I would not have thought to check that, especially since on tapatalk it does not show the user side panel with their location and such.
Sad to say I have not talked on my phone since that day, although I did miss a call today from my dentist reminding me of my root canal tomorrow... I had a good reason not to answer that one.
If it helps though, my messed up call was incoming and I called the person back without any issues.

Any updates claire?
Been having call issues with my phone as well, people cannot hear me, dropped calls, in general very poor reception
Even at home, 1 to 2 bars most of the time (Massachusetts), my previous phone (Droid2) had great reception at home.

I think the quality has gotten better since the ICS update. Before, when I'd talk to my wife, she also has a Spectrum, it would be scratchy. The sound is very good now.

I haven't logged any voice quality complaints or "say whats" since the ICS update. But admittedly, haven't made or answered too many calls. But the few I've had, went without any "say that agains". And I've touted the Spectrum as having terrible call quality since day 1. A LOT of people complained that they couldn't hear me. I'm not claiming that ICS fixed that....I can't imagine it would have any effect. But I did also switch BACK to my Ballistic case...although both cases I use have a similar sized hole over the mic.
