***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Sooo......

Talked to my store's VZW Rep yesterday. When he came in I had the cellbrite pic up on my screen, asked him if he knew anything about the phone. He cleared his throat a bunch of times, got a huuuuuge smile and said, HTC what? nope never heard of it. A fellow employee of mine and I bombarded him with questions trying to get anything out but he wouldn't budge. All he said is "most" of what he knows is from the forums just like us. He than proceeded to laugh and giggle the whole time he was here. We kept bugging him and all he would say is it'll come out soon enough and then he'd clear his throat and laugh some more.

I'm with you Steven58 - off to 24hr - hoping all the 20 and 30 somethings are out shopping by now - time for some serious cardio - this 43 year old mom needs to do something besides enjoy this thread :)
 
Not sure if this has already been cleared up or not, but about that picture of the calendar that says, "Infomanger", well Infomanager is the Business Intelligence tool for companies worldwide. So either a Verizon store made a typo on a somewhat important month long calendar, or the person on this thread who created/photoshopped this calendar probably isn’t too bright. The latter seems more likely.
 
Don't know if this has been posted yet... haven't seen it so I thought I'd ask.

The calendar picture... let's ASSUME it is actually REAL for just a second. It says 'Refresh after closing.' Would that mean that the phone would be set up after closing on the 28th and actually be released on the 29th?

There are numerous links online where VZW EEs refer specifically to "infomanger", however I've also seen "infomanAger" (see below URL in photo).

I, personally, think it's safe to assume "InfoManger" is an actual Verizon system, or website, or manual, etc. thing. A quick "Verizon InfoManger" Google brings up quite a few links, referring other phones like BB's and such. I don't know a whole lot, but the fact that "InfoManger" is referred to many, many times is enough proof for me.

Not saying that that calendar picture still doesn't look photoshopped though. Just looks wierd that that one-day-square looks different than all the others.
 
Fake or not... I hope it is WRONG!!! I don't want to wait till the 27th, 28th, or 29th!!! And didn't someone on here somewhere say that sometimes they release phones early? I still like my theory about the aniversary release. ;)

Seriously though.... this IS the internet. Anything that gets posted on here is not necessarily REAL and none of us should expect that it is. It is sad and pathetic to have no life that the only joy for some is to toy with those who are so passionate about this phone. We survived the last one and if this one is fake too we can all rest assured..... it is coming and I doubt any of us will miss the announcement!!! I personally prefer the line of thought that this will be out no later than mid April... but next week.. that would be even incredible!!

Edited to add: I hope I never get this obsessed over a phone again!!! Someone said something about being here in a couple of months when the indredible is just yesterday's news.... Never say never.... but I NEVER want to go through THIS again!!! But it has had a few moments of fun... some of you are pretty entertaining.

Yes, but a quick search for Verizon InfoManager also brings up plenty more links. Manager is a word that could very easily be misspelled and go unnoticed by spell checks (since manger is a word, too). The screenshot I posted has it spelled as InfoManager. However, this calendar could have been a "homemade" version that a VZW store manager made on his/her own. Personally, that wouldn't surprise me at all as I don't think the OP of the image has any reason to Photoshop anything.
 
Not confirming that I am in any way affiliated with VZW...
but here is what I know for a fact..
There is nothing listed in the equipment guide for the Incredible or N1...would be skeptical of the above link as I couldn't find that anywhere.
The InfoCenter that Retailers used has been searched and there is NOTHING listed anywhere for the Incredible or any new devices that HTC will be producing.
There is no new merchandising that calls out any new device other than the new LG Cosmos.

I think the stories of the agents smiling and giggling when asked are really nothing more than an agent either messing with said customer or them suffering from a 30 second bout of rockstaritus..it's not a real glamorous job and it's rare that agents feel like they actually have something cool that others want.

I can't get anyone in any sort of role to confirm any release dates, both internally and externally...bottom line is, it's all speculation.

Trust me I want to know just as bad as everyone!

Edit ADD- I do know that there is confirmed device training scheduled for later this month, slated for 3rd week of April

I may be mistaken, but I think this is the first time that VZWOffers has actually mentioned the words, "HTC Incredible." That seems to me like a confirmation of sorts. Definitely not a explicit confirmation, but maybe a tacit one.

At this point, I'll take what I can get.
 
I'll also add that I know for a fact that when the Droid launched, the actual date was hush hush, and the days leading into launch VZW had IT folks lurking the boards and searching to employees releasing info...they found a few and I know of 2 people that were let go due to confidentiality issues...that being said, most people that may know whats going on aren't going to say much in fear for their jobs, I would assume.

If I worked for VZW and I knew a launch date for the Incredible, I would be happy to share it with you all. Then again I'm retired so I wouldn't be too worried about losing my job.

Here's the deal guys. If someone can Photoshop something THIS good, then something as simple as a chart would be CAKE!!! In this day and age ANYTHING can be done in Photoshop. Take my word for it. Take EVERY picture with a grain of salt.
