Root Want to try a different ROM

Hey everyone, i know this has been covered many times, and i apologize for asking, but i have been very busy lately. I spent so much time researching this last time (6 months ago) and was hoping i could get some help in finding a different Rom and the instructions to get it up and running, to save some time.

I had Cyan Mod 7 on my Triumph until i broke my Gorrilla Glass. Luckily VM said it was still under warranty and they replaced it free. Refurbished, but free none the less. I love Cyan Mod 7 but thought this may be a good time to try something different.

Has Cyan Mod 9 come much farther in the last 6 months? What are a couple other Roms to try along those lines? And maybe a link or two to get me started?

CM9 MTDEV is awesome and the most stable ICS ROM in my opinion. But if you need a working camera, MIUI is awesome as well and better choice of themes.

CM9 does not have a working camera or video yet?

Excuse my ignorance, but what does MTDEV and MIUI stand for?

Well, Cyan Mod 7 is one of the best roms that are available for this phone imho. That and the sharp froyo rom. If i were to compare the two i would say cm7 and everything about it including gps is really smooth and we have mtdev to thank for that. The only downside for me is no hdmi and i get a better battery life on the sharp froyo rom which isnt as smooth but it is fully functional with the best battery life. For me...i use the froyo rom and I can actually go two days without the need to charge. Since battery life for me is important...i will be sticking with that rom.

MTDEV is Team MTDEV. Motorola Triumph Developer. We work on most the ROMs for the Triumph. More info can be seen here

MIUI is ROM ported from Androind Open Source Project made from a Chinese Team and also an American Team. There is a gingerbread version that works as well as cm7 and also an Ice Cream Sandwich version which is currently buggy but I am working on a new version soon. As for CM9 camera MTDEV is working on it but still no dice right now.
