The old phone needs to be sent back through asurion.
Unless you told them it was lost or stolen which is fraud.
If you don't send it back, with you actually telling them why you filed the insurance. They will bill you the retail price of the phone if it's not sent back.

sorry, i was wrong. the new phone came from ATT not the insurance company.... so in this case, can i sell it?
If they don't ask for it back, well I don't see why not. How long have you had the new ohone?
Your better off confirming with att they don't want it back, in case you sell it then you get a surprise $400 charge on your bill for the replacement for not returning.
Verizon did it to me before I switched to sprint.

Better find out if they blacklisted the old phone's ESN number. If they did, forget anyone being able to activate it.

Not questioning you.
Since att is gsm, the esn wouldn't matter though would it?

Actually it's an IMEI number, given that AT&T is a GSM carrier. And it would matter very much if the IMEI is blacklisted, because it means no service.

Ahh okay, I've never been with a gsm carrier. Though I knew you could swap out sim cards and it be that. Didn't know about IMEI being blacklisted leaving the phone a paper weight.
