Pixelated photo upload in Facebook

So, I was uploading photos in Facebook using my phone but when I saw it on the website it's pixelated! Why is that? I'm using the original camera ~app~ of the Note with the resolution set to 8MP (3264 x 2448).

Did Facebook compressed my photo because it's too hi-res or what?

I'm assuming you're using the Android FaceBook app? Personally I don't use it, instead I use Friendcaster Pro and that has an option when sharing photos to choose the quality of the uploaded image.

Yeah, I'm using Facebook for Android. I can't afford afford the Friendcaster Pro. And I think when I use the non-pro version, the photos I upload will be limited.

So, the problem is the Facebook for Android app?

I don't know for sure, but I would guess that is indeed the problem as I have no such problems with FriendCaster Pro.

Did you upload over 3G or via wifi? It's likely your mobile network operator will be compressing images and this degrades image quality. Try uploading over wifi and see if that makes a difference.
