As a Phillies fan you're absolutely killing me.

And like the Phils, I think Sprint's got a winner on their hands with the Evo.

This is great to hear! But is this finally the device to allow me to put my iPod and digital camera away??? I sure hope it lives up to its hype in the camera department because my Hero certainly is not a good enough everyday shooter.

I just really hope it comes with, or they sell headphones with an inline controller of some sort to pause/play and skip songs. The Iphones microphone button is one of the best things about the phone. I love being at the gym and being able to skip songs by just pushing the mic twice
 
And I really hope the 720p vid quality lives up to its name. The videos online that were apparently streaming looked pretty horrid
 
I hope someone can comfort me on this issue maybe you Jackson. I have a family member who owns several sprint stores, I was in last week for a problem with my Blackberry Tour and was thinking about going ahead and buying an android phone to prepare myself for the evo. When we started talking about it he said that our Area would not get the phon at release because we didn't have 4G service yet. I mentioned this on the sprint forum and someone simply said he was a moron. Of course I don't believe he is a moron but hopefully misinformed.
Anyway he claims that he could not get the overdrive hotspot for about three months after it was released. I told him that this would be a huge mistake for sprint because of all the attention this phone had recieved. Then he said it would be a bigger mistake to allow people to have this phone in a 3G only area because the performance woul suffer and everyone would give it a bad review. Well I've said alot to say that I would like to be assured that I will be able to get this phone at it's release.
 
it will come with 8-10 gb ROM. You can't store apps on RAM because RAM is only temporary memory used for opeing websites and such.

The cam app is awesome! you can do everything possible on it, check it our on youtube,

You're saying it will have that much internal storage, in addition to a microSD slot? HTC has never worked that way before, so I find it hard to believe but I would definitely like it if they made that change...
 
Hello people, just wanted to say hello. Was lurking around here for a while, just decided to join up. Love the way you guys spread the info around here. Hope the demand does not out-way the supply for the EVO. This will be my first andriod phone. Can't wait to get this thing. GO TRIBE. The farm system for the MLB.

So to get things straight...we are looking at 199-250 2 year contract and maybe a June 21st release date at the latest?
 
The EVO needs to be released at least a month before the new Iphone. THe EVO might get drowned out by the media/marketing machine that is Apple.
 
Thats the way the world is turning with android moglust, maybe you dont have and android device and dont know that you CANT store apps on it. App storage is limited to ROM so thats why they are making it bigger. The HTC incredible is coming with 8GB ROM so yeah that is the way HTC works actually, atleast now

Yess that price and that release date would be the latest

Are you referring to the website that has a clip of streaming video? I dont recall any videos on youtube that are actually taken on the Evo. Ive seen the video of the Evo taking video, but not the actual video quality. Curious to see what its like
 
I think throwing out your iPod is a little extreme, I can't store a quarter of my music on a 16GB card nonetheless.

Well I just looked at the latest Incredible specs again and yes Supersonical is right, it has changed to:
ROM - 512MB flash + 8GB moviNANDe
 So what the hell does that mean, "moviNANDe"?
 
Dudes! This phone is getting better and better! My god, it's like everyones dream device. Can this all be true? It almost seems too ggod to be. I guess cause I've always been dissappointed with my phones right from the start. At this point my biggest concern is battery life. I hope at least I'll be able to get a decent usage day out of it. My touch pro only has half a day with the lightest usage.

I have a question. Will I be able to stream Hulu to my TV through the HDMI? I mean will the EVO do Hulu? There are other sites that I'm wondering if it'll work but those are asian language sites.
 
I would say aorund 1GB, HTC executives at the phone launch said these numbers would increase and they will. We have to remeber that this phone is more than Sprint's flagship, it is also HTC's. This is the device that really puts them over the top and brings them into the top tier in the american phone industry.

this is all true my friend, there are many accesories in the making to make this device last as long as you will need it. Google HTC Evo accessoires.

Also, Sprint has been talking with websites like Hulu and fancast. Right ow they block mobile phones but this could all change with the Evo. They are blocked right now because trying to access a video via a 3G connection can fry the server. With 4G it is a whole different ball game.
