What's with this ten year Anniversary you've been posting about? I've had VZ service since 1997.

Just because they weren't there, they think it didn't happen. You'll find that the same people who are discrediting you now are the same people who think that the moon landing was a hoax. Slightly off topic but .... today's quake was a really nice one that was good enough for the wife to urge everyone to get outside. I of course went to grab the laptop so I could continue reading my Incredible thread should we have structural damage at the in-laws house.

Someone (verizon execs) please help me.

Then things might be handled differently at my store- thats what the policy is, and I've never heard different, so I thought it was the same all across the board. I'll double check with the manager about it tomorrow- didn't mean to confuse or mislead anyone, was just trying to honestly answer a question according to what I've been told that the policy is, so sorry..
 
Hello - So I had to call *611 tonight to check an ESN for an Eris I was wanting to buy from someone, and while waiting for "the computer to come back" the guy pointed out my "new every two was available" yada yada yada, I said I am waiting for some future Android phones to come out before I upgrade, he asked which ones - I said the Nexus one - he stated "that one is coming fairly soon" (and stated he wanted it as well) and then I mentioned the Incredible and he said "that one is coming much later..." I was focused on my ESN in question so I didn't think to ask him what he was basing those statements on...

Also - Hello Montana Man - I have some family in NW MT. One of my brothers works for Alltel (soon to be ATT) in Kalispell
 
So, no new info yet, huh? I was thinking, my iPhone 3Gs contract doesn't end until Summer '11, but my phone is jailbroken on 3.0.1, and that makes it valuable. So I actually could sell my 3Gs for enough to cover my ETF with AT&T, buy an Incredible/Desire/N1, and still have a few bucks left in my pocket. Very tempting.... And I'm not on a set timeline either, so I can afford to wait for whatever awesomeness Verizon ends up putting out, especially knowing that AT&T is going to cripple any Android phone they get, so I am DEFINITELY leaving AT&T one way or another anyways. But for now, I'll just (try) to keep up with this thread. Too bad I have a job, that makes that goal very difficult, LOL!

Well the Nexus isn't going to be sold at Verizon retailers right? I don't know if this was brought up before, but the information about the 25th shipping date coped with the 28th VZW "additional" android handset release date may mean that its going to be a phone sold in stores. Thus making it not the N1 and more likely the Incredible. Again, I don't know if this was mentioned already, I didn't read every post, I just wanted to point it out just in case.

Also, this is my first post. Hello Everyone. :)
 
The people who've had VZW for more than 10 years it wasn't called Verizon Wireless at the time but it's now been 10 years as "Verizon Wireless" and I think their HQ are located in NJ.

That was a BB Mobile computer that they had an Android handset with a $600 value due for delivery on the 25th. More that likely it was the Incredible but who's to say that BB Mobile would even receive the phone on the launch date.

In the back of my head I keep wondering what the rumored surprise that is supposed to come along with the Verizon N1. It's already passed FCC so you wouldn't think it's a hardware upgrade although I guess the specs for the CDMA version haven't been released. I just keep hoping that with the kiosk talk that Google decides to sell in-store.

Although I'm getting used to being let down...

Yeah, I highly doubt its going to be a hardware change. More than likely just some added software or compatibility. Honestly its almost too vague a topic to tell. I guess thats why its called a 'surprise' lol :P

As long as being sold in store is concerned, I'm fine with getting my phone through Google. The deal breaker for me is the subsidizing (or lack of) for the N1 on family plans. As I am on a family plan with VZW this is probably the biggest factor in my decision. My heart was set on the N1, but with all the stalking of information I've done about the Incredible in the last 2 weeks and the really high unsubsidized N1 price tag, my heart may be set on the Incredible already.

You never know what will happen though... lol

Excellent post Montana. I was just going to say the same thing. I find it funny how a majority of the people claiming "BS" are people who have not contributed a single thing to this thread, yet have the nerve to try and call out people. I remember when this thread first started, we welcomed everyones contributions (and I know we've had some longgggg nights of trying to find anything we could, without any fear of being called a liar. Been on here since the Passion forum days, and registered when this thread was created, having posted several of my own contributions, I can attest that the attitude now is completely different) without having some sort of backlash. :rolleyes:
 
I think the VZ phone reps are certainly aware of the mini-hysteria over this phone... Long/short: I was on the phone with them over a BS problem with my wife's Envtouch (mini rant: had probs within the 30 days, they "heavily pursuaded" me not to return it, said it was a software issue fixable by update, well it wasn't and now they want to replace it with a refurb because now the 30 day is up. I think we should get a brand new phone.) At the end of the conversation when they recite what they went over, she asked if there was anything else she could "help" me with... I sarcastically (thinking of all of the stories I've read here) said "not unless you have inside scoop on phone releases, and I know you don't..." and after pausing a moment she said "we have some incredible new phones coming out very soon." The way she said "incredible" was deliberate and smart alecky... I said "excuse me? Could you repeat that?" and she paused and then said, "I think you will like the new phones coming out soon." Now, our convo was purely about my wife's envtouch... and I use an old motorazr... we weren't talking about smartphones. I think they must be getting a lot of questions about it because she seemed primed... you had to hear her tone... it was like "i know something you don't know" type. (at any rate, if they don't do the right thing with my wife's phone, I might leave anyway... ATT isn't THAT bad where I live, and I hear it's getting better... When does the Desire come out?? :) )
