Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Can I use my backup??

VivaLePaco

Ok so today I decided to flash AOKP onto my gs3. I was originally going to use CWM and thus I made a backup using it. As I kept browsing for warning before I actually flashed, I read about TWRP (I previously had an esteem so I always used CWM) and decided to give it a shot. So in the end I used TWRP to flash but in the end I liked stock better. Can I use my backup that I created with CWM in TWRP?

Thanks in advance for any answers. I'm not new to flashing but I've never had this question before. (but my account is new :D)

Nuttmeg's is totally stock like from the factory. Chances are your own backup is already set up to your liking. Installing cwm is faster then resetting the whole system the way you like it. So I would say use yours. :)

Edit: not to mention the time it would take to download. It's over one gig if I remember right. Installing cwm is as fast as downloading rom manager and flashing cwm.

Well the only reason this question popped up was because my cwm backup is so small, 21.36mb to be exact, compared to Nuttmeg's which like you said is pretty large. Does cwm do something to make a backup smaller? Thanks for your help btw! :)

Yes. All the main stuff are stored in the blobs. Things that changes are kept in that folder you see at 25mb. When you make another backup it detects changes and store it there. Which is why twrp won't work with cwm.

Oh, I see now. Well that's something I didn't know about. Final question lol, before I restore do I have to wipe the usual?
