Help Replacing phone

Well a few days ago my camera just stopped working and was not responding at all though flash worked. It fixed itself but I don't want it to happen again because who knows how long it would last that time. So I want to return my phone and get the same one. I bought it at Radioshack is this a valid excuse for replacement? I actually do want to replace it anyways I want to root and s-off it again, it got addicting lol.

Your best bet is to call them, or go see. I would say it seems valid to me, but it depends on their return policy.

If it's working now and you've never reported the issue in the past to Virgin I don't think so. As far as they're concerned it was just a momentary glitch that rectified itself, which may be the case. You'll have even more trouble with RS.

Woah nevermind I just read a couple customer service reviews and it sounds painful. Guess i'll just stick with it.

I THINK if the camera stopped working totally, that would be a different issue. They MIGHT. Emphasis on might. Allow you to return/swap it. I can't speak for them, though, because it depends on A) How long you've had the phone, B) if it was a clearance or "All Sales Final" thing, and C) how generous the store is feeling, really.

Glad to see your camera's working again, though.

If the camera totally goes Virgin will replace it without any problems. You have a 1 year warranty through them. It begins on the day that you activate the phone.

Speaking of defects, does anyone experience "lag" when connecting the phone as a disk drive? Ever since I got it it has been taking at minimum a minute for my laptop to find it and open the window. It happens on every computer, my laptop, my desktop and even my school's computer all take a long while to find my phone.

I don't know, about the only time that I use usb mass storage is by mounting my card through 4EXT recovery because of the Anthrax kernel being temperamental. Even when I take the card out and put it in my reader it takes a few, comp has to scan a relatively slow media before it will show up in explorer, and that's with my 64 gb class 10.

Well I only have a 16gb sdcard and it takes a long while through my phone, using a adapter makes it normal but then i'd have to turn my phoneoff to take the card out.

If you have a custom recovery installed try turning on usb storage and see if doing it through recovery helps.

It actually opens immediately on TWRP recovery. What could be the problem though, why is it normal on recovery but not when the phone is normally on?

Unfortunately I haven't used Harmonia in quite awhile, why don't you just access your card through recovery since it seems to be working better for you? I'm on Midnight and with the Anthrax kernel that's the only way I can see my card unless I remove it and put it in my reader. It still lets you manipulate the files on the card so why not?

That requires me turning off and on my phone just for some quick changes, ill try another rom though, maybe Midnight or CM10(i think?)

Still beats having to actually remove your battery and card to put it in a reader.
And like I said with Midnight and the Anthrax kernel I have to mount it through recovery.
