This is in reference to all the reports about the Incredibles sitting in inventory at VZW warehouse. If these reports are true, VZW routinely releases ALL new phones (usually smartphones) to B2B (business to business) customers first. B2B customers have a minimum of 50 phones under contract and they will get first shot at any Incredibles before regular customers. This is not advertised anywhere and notices are sent directly to these business customers.

Even though nobody here really wants to hear this, I can think of no other place where anyone would understand the significance and disappointment of the thought which occurred to me sometime in the middle of last night.

What if the "2nd Android Phone" on the calendar is the Saygus VPhone and not my Incredible?

The thought alone is punishment enough so no need to shoot me.

I think I'm getting desperate, my first thought was getting this if it comes out. I was bored yesterday so I started messing around with my voyager, now my touchscreen doesn't work :P

i figured it out, verizon is not letting us down, they are just keeping our expectations of them.. They have a bad ass phone in the works but they have to wait for everyone else in the market release a phone that is equal or slightly better before they release theirs or that would shock the sh*t out of all of their customers to have a better phone than the other networks..

Psst what the hell were we thinking!!!!

So hurry up sprint att and tmobile we would like to finally get the incredible on verizon!!!!

Lajboys, for what it's worth, I believe you. If anyone can relate to your frustration over trying your damndest to provide some useful information for this pack of wolves, it's me. Just because they weren't there, they think it didn't happen. You'll find that the same people who are discrediting you now are the same people who think that the moon landing was a hoax. And they won't believe otherwise until they're standing on the moon themselves! You've been nothing but an asset, and I applaud you for your efforts in trying to benefit the thread. I look forward to any additional information that you might be able to provide. Thanks again.

I appreciate it. I will try to find all I can.

This is no slam on anyone here in the "***Official HTC Incredible Thread***", but I am getting worn out by the regirgitation of the topics with no verified information. Like you guys, I want to believe that there is an Incredible waiting for us on the horizon, but am losing hope in the mist of the endless rumors and ramblings. People outside this forum are starting to think that this thread is becomming a joke and a place for kiddies to play and chat about things mostly non relevant to the Incredible.

Again, I am not accusing anyone, but am getting worn out.

I generally do not post because I don't have anything relating to the thread topic to contribute. I think the best thing for me to do is to take a break from the thread for a while like some others have done and wait till we hear official news, (like from HTC or Verizon; not store managers, or "my source", or twitter...). I'll be back to talk about a very exciting phone when reality makes itself visible.

till then, have fun ;)

Jim!

No, they want to be able to choose between convenience of having 3G availability for $30 a month ($360 a year before taxes, and fees), or using the data only when they have Wifi available, which for some people may be 98% of the time that they are using their phone.

Why must we be forced something that should be optional?

I agree there should be a choice for everything like the other networks.. t-mobile has some smart phones that do not have to have data but I've not seen this on verizon..

I don't blame you, Jim. I was feeling the same way. I don't think I'll stop bantering, though. :p Take care, Jim.

I mean... its a thread on the internet. About a phone; one that isn't even that special beyond what we have trumped it up to be.

Anyone who thinks this thread is "serious business" needs to re-evaluate their priorities.

Internet Threads About Phones: Serious Business.

The screen shot shows 150K+ units in 'On Order' status.
Given that the screen shot is kosher, it is not clear that they are shipped from HTC and in a VZW warehouse. Its possible that they are awaiting shipment from HTC subject to clearing some final test and/or final release software build. We have seen Android builds specifically for VZW/HTC Inc as recently as March24. NKT & I agreed that this may mean they have not yet shipped.

The frustration here is that we are dealing with a raft of dubious data which suggests a lot but confirms very little. Bottom line is we don't have anything solid to predict a release data, but all the signs are there that something is coming soon[ish].

If the iPhone OS 4 is like amazing...and open...then i may become everything i hate...this phone is just irritating to think about now...

Totally agree. I used to have a smartphone before the data plan was required. I did not get the data plan, because I always either at home, at work, at school, or at friend's houses. All of those places had wifi for the internet. If I was driving, then I was not using the internet obviously. And in the rare cases where I did need internet and didn't have it, I could pay for the KB usage. Even on my Droid now, I don't really use the internet. I have my laptop, or I use wifi, either on my Droid, or my iPod touch. I don't mind paying for it, but it definitely should not be required. The only reason I got a smart phone was because I needed a device to keep my pdf's and documents on which I can read in my downtime, some music to listen to, and a install a few applications to use, and have internet access with via wifi.

Now they require you to get the $10 plan with the 'multimedia' phones which is complete insanity.

I agree, but at the same time you aren't forced to have a smartphone, or service with Verizon.
