Is the 4.3 inch screen more longer and narrower than other phones of the same screen size? If so, how come?

It shouldnt be, if you use a ruler and measure diagnoly 4.3 inches then draw a box you would most likely draw the exact phone display.

No it was to switch to the HD aspect ratio of 16:9 instead of the older standard ratio of 5:3. It has nothing to do with the 3d, the HTC Sensation has the same identical screen just without the parallax barrier.
