3/29/10 is only last week...it could have been put into the system on that date and found today...no need to jump to conclusions and say its fake...what do you have to base that assumption off of...a date thats only a week old?? do you work for best buy??...you have a weak argument

Whether it's fake or not, the OP said it was coming on the 29th of this month, but the only date in the screenshot is 3/29 which has passed. Not sure where the 25th he mentions as an in-stock date comes from (not on the screenshot). Possibly the OP overlooked the fact that it was March and assumed it was April 29th? In any event, if nothing else, this might lend credence to the fact that the phone was originally scheduled for a late March launch but that it has been pushed back.

What do you want to bet that Verizon does indeed read these boards, and with everyone talking about buying other Android devices then returning them, that's part of the reason they are upping the restock fee?

I'm sorry, but if they read this thread and change the return policy for the entire country then that means they are actually interested in our opinions. Therefor, they would also make an official announcement about the phone because many of us have talked about leaving Verizon very soon if something is not done.

Doubt, like I said earlier, non-business customers mean nothing to Verizon.

VZW's razr sharp marketing gang send an email pre-release announcement to everyone who has posted on this thread. They figure, "These folks are the thought leaders, the enthusiasts, the evangelists, who have already created more buzz than our $1M Droid campaign has achieved".

30% respond along the lines of, "OMG at f'ing last!"
40% respond with, "Nah, too late. The thrill has gone."
20% respond with, "I just switched to [insert carrier here] because they actually know how to timely release current smart phone technology and don't ream their customers quite a hard as you guys".
10% respond with, "Just go F yourself. Just before you do that, delete my email from your database unless you want a dead Montana steer delivered in several wet parcels over the next six months".

It drives me crazy when you Google HTC Incredible all of these "websites" report the same news over and over. A site today "broke" the news (38 min ago) that Verizon acknowledged the Incredible. DA! This is OLD news that was reported 3 days ago by your competitor and you try to pass it on as NEW news!

I cannot wait until this phone comes out...I imagine the phone will be for sale for a week and some website will announce>>>"HTC INcredible goes on sale 5 days ago" Breaking news...WTF

C'mon Verizon give us something so we can all rest easy at night and dream of a phone that we know will be a reality soon!

I'm starting to think that these are being re-posted on purpose. I guess it just could be my conspiracy theory syndrome kicking in again...

Just a few notes on the BBY screen shot.
The 3-29-10 date you are seeing is pricing dates and when it was put into the system, has nothing to do with instock dates.
The price listed IS MSRP but that is if you were to buy the phone outright. The Eris is listed in the system at about 429.00 even tho the sale price is 29.99. (VZW is making their money of the service not the phone. - Think of the PS3/X-Box 360. Sony/MS are loosing money on the consoles but make bank on the games)
The mentioned date of 4-29-10 would show up on a different page so this may be a valid date.
Now that I have something to work with, I'm going to see if I can find anything eles out. :D

If you are referring to the pic I posted, yes that SKU 9553501 is for the Droid. I posted the pic to confirm that Best Buy would use a BBY prefix for a Verizon phone (though it does not appear to be used for everything). Also that the Droid was BBY9LD while the item in question is BBY21LD which would seem to also confirm the data.
I realise it was a confusing post as I thought the pic had the name of the device in it because I found it googling "Droid shows up in best buy system" and didn't look hard enough. Hence I edited the post. My apologies for that.

Once I see the new iPhone OS on Wed, I better not be impressed. Android, you cannot let Apple out-lap you again.

They're trying to act like the Ipad is the crowning achievement of our civilization. I don't think we have too much to fear.
