WTF I thought the testers already tested it, f u verizon, just release it and let the first comers suffer(probably not though)

didnt nkt say that they were retesting the new phones already? so i duno what that admin is sayin about how the testers just got the phone for re-testing..

Alright, heres even more info, facts, and clarification.

The test device for the HTC Incredible is going to the VZW Council. Apparently, phones get sent to them for testing BEFORE!!! release. The VZW council should be getting them anytime this week and release will be very very very soon after.

Interesting note, the VZW iPhone is looking to come sometime in the SUMMER, much earlier than the expected end of the year december date.

This is all from an Admin who has never failed and gets these memo's etc...about the devices before any of us and before they are released.

He said from a message two months ago that VZW wanted to sell the Nexus One in-store but google said no. Then the HTC Incredible came along and VZW went with that phone instead so they could sell it in-store.

Anyhows, looks like confirmation that the phone is coming this month. He said he will give me a date when he gets more info but all he knows is that final test devices are being given to VZW council sometime this week and the N1 is coming in June.

Question of the day:

I need an HTC Incredible like a meth addict needs:

1. A good dentist.
2. A Clean Record.
3. A Dermatologist.
4. A Line of Credit.
5. A Vitamin.
6. Other ____________________
7. All of the Above.

I can't wait.

I already know what apps I want. There are so many out there too. I know this from my brothers moto droid.

is it true that verizon has a 5GB download limit? i can't imagine dl'ing that much on a phone but you never know i guess. Streaming netflix can use that up pretty quick.

i advise you check out Official Nexus One VERIZON thread! - Page 283 - Nexus One Forum - Google Phone Forum you guys are so lucky and need to read this. incredible coming REAL soon.

What functions/apps are you all eager to use once you have the Incredible? I look forward to using Google Navigation and surfing the web, facebooking etc.
nav, skymap, camera, camcorder, games, music, phone, email, bacebook, contacts (sense), footprints, pandora, web browser... I can go on.... there's so much I've been waiting to do that just not even worth trying on my pearl :P

Has anyone here come close to the 5GB cap? If so what were you doing daily to reach that? Just want to know how worried I should be about going over. Seems like it would take a lot though. Thanks.

Thought people might get a chuckle out of this, or at least share my frustration. Was frustrated at work and mashed out this angry post:

I need to upgrade my phone, as I have for the past 6 months. Please do not try to convince me to purchase the Droid, Droid Eris, Storm 2, Devour, Imagio, or any other currently offered smartphone/Blackberry.

I am only interested in the HTC Incredible. When is this phone going to be available? If I can't get an answer, then I will be ending my service with Verizon soon and switching to Sprint for the HTC EVO 4G. I have been promised by Verizon representatives that a new phone is coming/will be released for the past 4 months now, and I am tired of being strung along without any real information about this phone.

The Verizon twitter account (@VZWoffers) has referenced the HTC Incredible three times in the past two weeks but doesn't say when I can order or pre-order this phone. The phone is listed at your website at https://infodoc.verizonwireless.com/Infomanager/Areas/Equipment/159211.htm yet I still can't order the phone. Can you please see why this is so incredibly frustrating?

I'm ready to purchase this phone and get a new contract *today*; why is Verizon not willing to take my money and give me a phone they have been advertising? I've been a customer for Verizon for too long to be repeatedly ignored and fed lines about how you don't talk about upcoming phones when someone representing Verizon Wireless is talking about an upcoming phone.

Please give us some sort of information about the HTC Incredible, or I'll find a wireless company that is willing to actually release phones instead of just teasing people about them.

This is what I get in return:

Dear Mr. Doop,

Somehow, I don't think "Jonathan" is his real name... Still trying not to pull the trigger and just leave Verizon once and for all.

75 969 kilobytes = 74.1884766 megabytes

That's my last bill usage, I would say I'm a low to mid level data user.

This'll be my first smartphone, so I have no idea, but even if Verizon has a 5 GB download limit, that limit wouldn't have any affect on you as long as you downloaded the apps while connected through Wifi instead of using Verizon's network. That's just a guess, or an assumption, so TIFWIT ;)

This will be my first smart phone also! :) - i decided to get one since I got my new job. You make a very good point too. I think there's an app that will automatically connect to wifi when detected.

...on the N1.....still look for June and look for the $200 price point. Though sadly it will still only available online.........hope this helps

Huh, you mean someone will still be waiting for the N1 2 months after the INC has been out

I hit about 2.5 GB once. I did that by tethering my HTC Touch to my laptop and watching a bit of Hulu. IMO, you'd really have to try to hit the 5 GB cap on the phone alone, but once you tether (legally or not), but it's not hard at all if you tether.

Already talking about android 3.0 shit at least wait for everyone to upgrade to 2.1, that would be awesome if the incredible got updates only like a week or two after the N1 did

Well guys, things got sour on the financial end and I won't be well-off enough to upgrade my phone for a few months. Looks like I'm officially dropping out of the Incredible Waiting Game. It was fun, and thanks to all those who made it so.

Here's to Verizon getting their shit together and releasing a decent phone by August.

Ok an Update for you guys here.....first the Incredable will be released this month. Testers are to get thier devices this week at somepoint. As long as everythiing is ok. we'll see the release..

Guess that makes my decision easy. No way am I waiting another month and a half of so. The N1 we know doesn't sound like its going to stack up very well against the Incredible anyway. However if they do "surprise" me guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay full price.
