Root Trouble flashing zips

Ok, so i tried flashing jellytime r29, and gapps and the titanium update zip. When i chose the jellytime zip file, it kept saying installation aborted.

So i formatted the sd card, and tried again and succesfully flashed jellytime and the gapps zip. I thought great, it worked, but now it wont flash my update zip :(

I've tried another sd, but still the same problem. Anyone else had this trouble before?

EDIT: And it didn't flash gapps properly either. Just the google play store

In titanium you can choose to call it 'titanium backup x.xx'. Perhaps try that and see what happens?

i always name it titanium backup.zip.

Also , I have too flashed a GAPPS package and only got Play Store out of it . No idea why .

Too late, phone's wiped. All I've got is the update.zip left. I've already d/loaded and installed again all my apps from the market.

My only concern is if I try and flash another ROM that i wont be able to. It took ten attempts to get jellytime r29 working, and even trying to flash r27 which was previously on it wouldn't work.

How do I make a nandroid backup?

In titanuim backup i can only find an option to extract a nandroid backup.

A Nandroid backup is made using Recovery. Are you using 4Ext, CWM or something else?

I don't know the exact steps for CWM (I am on 4Ext) , but basically it is:

1. Reboot into recovery
2. Select Backup | Restore
3. Select Backup

To restore a backup:

1. Reboot into recovery
2. Do a full wipe
2. Select Backup | Restore
3. Select Restore

Your welcome. Maintain at least one backup all the time in case if a bad flash. I usually do a backup of my current ROM before flashing too. So I will have two on the SDCard in case something goes wrong.
