Root video playback

Since here recently every video I play or try to play is real choppy or the video will be stuck on a frame and only the sound will play anyone have any tips to fix this

Are you using WiFi or 3G ? If you use 3G, it just could be a bad 3G connection.... It also could be the YouTube app ( if you use it ).... I heard that recent updates to the YouTube app made downloads slower and choppy, but I rarely use YouTube, but I haven't updated, so if you'd like to try the older YouTube app, I can upload it for you....

If it's not "just" YouTube, you might wanna try a different browser as well..... Can't remember right now what people here use, I use the Maxton browser but there are several other browsers folks in here use ( maybe wetbiker, cwhatever, skater or LV can chip in some browser suggestions ).......

I use the stock one and people like the boat one too. I updated utube and had that problem and restored an old one and disconnected it from market and no more problems!

How do you disconnect the YouTube app from the Market ? With TB ??? Can you tell me how, never did that !!!! Thx , I just don't update YouTube, but it always shows.....

With TB is how. Open app then hit bottom left hard key on phone, then hit batch, then scroll down to android market, and run then pick the ones you want or all and then run and set!

I did what you said.....I "Deselected ALL" and checked only the YouTube app and run it..... It said it detached the app. But going to ther Market, I still see under "My Apps", that there is a YouTube update available.....

What did I do wrong ????

EDIT :

PS: Do I need to reboot, or clear dalvik or clear the Google data ????

Problem was with the default player. Is there anyway to make mxplayer my default for everyvideo even YouTube? I have it set as default player but not all videos play on it. I want to completely to away with stock player

It will still show it in the market, the market is the market it's not your phone. when you get the updates on your phone it will not allow it to be there or I think it says manually update so if you hit update all it will not update the manual ones. I mean in the notifications that you get for updates. I hope I didn't just confuse you!

When you install another player when you try to play something all of your players should come up and there should be a little box that says make this my default. Or just load another player and then either with titanium freeze or delete the stock 1 and the new 1 will take over.

To tell you the truth its been so long, I can't remember what the stock one was? I would try installing a new one and when you play something it should ask which player, pretty sure! If someone else knows the stock and can tell us, THX!

Now that you say that, The youtube app has its own flash type player built in and if using youtube off the web it needs a flash to play! Are you using youtube app or off the web? If youtube app it might be updated without you knowing. Mine is youtube 2.4.4 the newest is 4.1.47 check yours in titanium backup it will tell you the current that is being used?

If you are trying to play YouTube videos via the browser, try a different browser... I use boat browser for my flash/YouTube playing needs
