LED notification not working after JB update

Just like the title says... just updated my s3 for AT&T to jelly bean and the LED notification lights aren't working. Everything is checked and enabled in settings, but they're not working.

Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm having the opposite problem. I have unchecked all 4 boxes but the LED notifications still come on.

I had the same problem when I had it running ICS and was hoping that JB would solve it, but it didn't.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I was experiencing the same issue, and with NO sound either. I'd posted about this yesterday, too.

I've since restarted my device, and thus far it seems to be working much better. Try that.

I've restarted and shut down this thing about 10 different times already and nothing's worked. Still no led light.

I noticed that when the phone was charging, the LED was green. When I received an email notification, the LED turned off while it was still plugged into the charger. I only got JB a day and a half, so I haven't paid attention to the notification light much yet. I did notice that in the settings, there does not seem to be anywhere where I can configure the notification light for most apps (Gmail, FB). I'll look into this more over the weekend.

Just to confirm, you have checked to make sure the LED option is on, right?
I had to turn my screen capture option back on after installing Jelly Bean.

Rather weird since it was on previously.

The settings are definitely on. Went into settings -> display -> LED indicator

And everything is checked off. The settings are definitely set for the LED to work. Still no luck.

hi - im using liteflow lite on jb and all ok - led works well and battery seems to be holding up pretty well too
cheers

Just did a factory reset and the LED still isn't coming on when charging or for notifications.

And the LED light definitely does work when it wants to work. When the phone is completely turned off and I'm charging... the red light comes on. Same goes for when I turn the phone off... the blue LED comes on during the shut down process.

Remove the battery for about 30 seconds or so, and then place it back into the device. Now check the LED again.

Also, re-confirm that the LED is on in settings (just because).

I think I'm just going to bring it in. Hopefully they just give me a new phone.

I just spoke with a friend who has an S3 but does not use this forum. He said Jelly bean "reversed" his LED switch. When the LEDs are set to off, they work fine, when they are checked (on), they don't.

Don't'cha love it! :D

Just tried that and that didn't work either.

Went to AT&T and they said they couldn't do anything. I'm just going to call Samsung and probably get nowhere. This really is annoying.

Samsung chat support is very good. They'll probably arrange a swap.

Nope... they just said wait a couple months and there will hopefully be a maintenance update.

They said if that doesn't happen... they can have me send in the phone and they'll do a software reinstallation and have their techs looks at it.

I also asked if anyone else is reporting this problem since the upgrade and he said that I'm the first person to report this to him. Lucky me!!

My LED notifications seem to be working fine except when I'm charging my phone. When my phone is charging, the LED is red. When I get a notification, the LED turns off. Not sure if this is normal. When not charging, the LED does flash periodically. I don't think I waiting long enough to really watch it flash. I just noticed it was turned off. Normally, if I'm charging my phone overnight, I flip it over, so the LED is not showing. It bothers my wife. If I'm charging during the day, I rely on the notification sounds rather than the LED.
