Jellybean Update for Note 10.1 N8010

Why is there no mention of the update for the WiFi only version N8010? Will the update be available thru Kies?
 
Hi, I sent a email to Samsung support yesterday, here is there reply.

Hi, I am sure you have had this question asked a few times now ;) Would you have any information on when the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 n8010 will be getting the 4.1.1 jelly bean update in the UK. I have the galaxy note 2 which came with jelly bean and am looking forward to using my n8010 with all the extras that the 4.1.1 update brings.

The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 is now available in UK, Spain and the Nordic region including Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
We advise you to hit regularly the 'Check Update' option in your Note to receive the update over the air, or if you want to do the update manually, the update files are available for download too.

If you encounter any problems, please address your inquiry to the proper customer service of Samsung Apps.

Anyone know where these files are available for download? Might be a while before we get it here in Australia
 
Well I have just sent them another email asking if they can confirm that the update is for WiFi n8010.
I will post their reply. Dazz

No need to bite anything or sit down. As all the support they have no clue what they are talking about and thus just provide misinformation.

I know, I worked in a support role, and over 80% of people working in those place are just some random dudes who have no idea about what they're doing.
 
I agree, The first email I recived from them indicated that there was an update for the n8010 but when I asked them to confirm that it was for the WiFi only version they come back with that.
It is frustrating because I have the note 2 which came with Jb and the s pen has so many more features.

Hi I have scanned the Samsung website no sign of update anywhere . What email address did you use maybe if they get bombarded by email about the update they my do something about it. I see the tab is getting it.
 
I'm proper disappointed with how Samsung manage these updates......I've kept with them for the entire Galaxy series, but not sure how much longer I can be fobed off with the same old story!
 
I have a N8010, other Samsung devices are being updated to 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 but there is no sign on your website of a date for the N8010 update. Reading the web forums I notice people are emailing you and asking for this update, they are told you don't know. The only way Samsung could say that truthfully is if they have no intention of supporting the N8010, is this the case? Have we bought a device that you have no intention of supporting? Please investigate and inform the UK N8010 owners when the update will be available.

Sent this today, will they reply?!!

What do you need the confirmation for? This is their flagship device, why would it not get JB?
 
Except for rooting, there are no other option but to wait. Hope Samsung will give us a nice Christmas gift by releasing the update to everyone before the year end.
