U.S. owners with JB: was the LED issue fixed?

The LED issue I'm referring to being the LED notification light displaying the wrong colors. As far as I know this only seems to affect everyone with the U.S. variants (except T-Mobile owners).

If yes, hopefully this will be a good sign for the problem being fixed in the upcoming JB update for Verizon customers.

Yes, I'm aware of the app Light Flow.

Lil bit off topic but i think the Light Flow app (full control of LED colour for notifications) now works for most unrooted (or rooted) US phones as long as you use custom launcher (with touchwiz launcher, it talks to you lmao)

Yeah i read end of your post OP but thought id throw it in sorry

Yes, it's been fixed in the Verizon JB leaks that are out there. In addition to the wrong color mapping table being fixed, blinking also works now.

I am interested in the LED notification for missed calls, voicemails, calendar events and SMS/MMS. However, except for Calendar Events (I use Touchdown HD), I do not see a way to control the colors. I am on AT&T 4.1.1 and use the following apps:

Phone - Stock
Voicemail - Visual Voicemail
Calendar Events - Touchdown HD
SMS/MMS - Stock

I have LED Notifications enabled under System Settings. I also use Apex Launcher.

Im not gona suggest light flow app as im assuming youre using stock launcher?
EDIT missed the last bit again lol. See if light flow does notifications for your calander :)

How are you using the AT&T Visual Voicemail app? AT&T Messages is installed from the factory on my phone and I can't uninstall it.. and hate it.. I don't want to use it for text messaging or phone logs..etc.. I want to use the stock android apps and just use AT&Ts visual voicemail.. is that what you're doing? How if so?
Sorry that this is off the original topic.. i saw your post and had to ask..

You can at least disable the AT&T Messages app, I have. Just go into the application manager to the at&t messaging app and hit "disable." Now it won't run or try and update or anything.

Thanks, tried it and it worked like a charm. I was even able to use the AT&T Messages app again.. However I decided to try Hullomail and see how that goes.. At least I can play my voicemails over bluetooth again like I used to be able to do on my iphone. That's really the only dealbreaker for me stopping me from using the AT&T Visual Voicemail app.

Thanks funkylogik, but I'd rather not install an app just to make the LED work properly :p. There are some rather mixed reviews and as a heavy user I can't risk more battery drain. :(

Glad you got visual voicemail and the messaging app to work. I will say that sometimes voicemails do not immediately show up in visual voicemail.

I see ur point but if you set really dark colours in the lightgrid on light flow and set led to not flash, it barely uses any battery (probably a lot less than stock) as it allows deep sleep for longer not having to *switch on* *switch off*
Im not the dev btw lol.
Usualy costs me 1% :)

With the JB fix, flashing doesn't use any extra battery anymore. Turn off root mode and lightflow uses the OS to flash the light.

I don't see any significant battery hit from using light flow on jb.

If you want the calendar to display a different color, you'll have to use some 3rd party app.
